You'll need a PSW (Pure Sine Wave) inverter.
Read the labeling on the TV set and find the power consumption.
e.g. If the label says "120V 60~(Hz) 1Amp" that's 120 Watts and you'll need a 300 Watt inverter.

any inverter 300w up
some TVs show noise with a MSW inverter, and perform better on PSW, many more function just fine on MSW,
I think most brands MSW are better than they were 15yrs ago but many people think PSW is the only thing to use
Options, always have options, and the journey goes much smoother

A modified sine wave inverter generally does not cause interference on an LCD TV but may cause interference on a CRT. Cheap "pure sine wave" inverters can also cause interference on CRTs.

I power my tv, dvd, laptop and charge small items with a Go Power 300w sine wave inverter.
I mounted the inverter behind the fuse-breaker panel. 12v connects to the main battery feed to the panel. 120v is wired into the entertainment area circuit with an automatic transfer switch. The wiring is very straight forward if you have done any home wiring before. The Go Power 300w has a provision for a remote power switch so with the touch of a button I have instant power.
GP 300w SW $160
Xantrex 15 amp switch $49
150w would probably be fine, really doubt you need more than 300w.
