Does anyone have a Onan marquis 7000 generator? If so, can you tell me what type of oil I need to add? II don't have a user manual and can't find info on the net.
We had a problem when driving and using the gen....every time we turned a corner or hit a bump, it would turn off. I'm hoping it is because we are low on oil.
If you have no idea what kind of oil it had, you may want to just have it serviced and get the oil changed. You really don't know if it's "Dino" or Synthetic, and you should keep the same oil in it.
I don't know if it will do any damage, if you were to add some 10W-30 to it, but it might be best to do an oil and filters change....for a bit of piece of mind.
Check/replace the fuel and air filters will be a step in the right direction. How many hours on the unit?
Good luck

It does sound like low oil. The generator is designed to shut of if the oil level drops too low. The filler cap has a dip stick on it (if it's like mine) ... easy enough to check.
