It's been driving me crazy with our 2010 Keystone Hideout. I could have sworn with my analog tv with converter in the old Roo that I got reception at least one of the camp sites we normally go to but with the Hideout with digital flat screen I find absolutely nothing when camping. I have received a couple public access channels where we store it though. Do the trailer antennas just
t not pick anything up anymore or is there a problem?

Mine works fine! Did you push your power button in for your antenna?

Locate direction of TV Transponders
Aim antenna towards them
Turn on antenna amplifier.....'booster'
Select 'over the air', 'antenna' etc. on TV menu for tuner
Auto scan for available channels

Repeat when/if you move RV to different location

Did all that. I wonder how to check if the booster is working.

You should get every channel that you were getting clearly before digital.
But I know I completely lost a lot of them that were snowy but watchable before digital.

WRONG and that shows you don't understand what happened with the conversion. A lot of channels when from VHF to UHF and while UHF works great it's range is less than VHF where most of the old channels were and they greately reduced the UHF transmit power.

With a DMM check the potential between the outside shielding and the center conductor. With the booster on, you should read 12-13
Check the potential between the inside copper core and the shieding on the cable at the antenna. With the booster on it should read 12-13 VDC. Go somewhere you know there is good signal and run setup on your TV and see if you have signal. If you do the antenna is working. I find that with the converter box I get more stations now than I did when the stations were analog.

I get more channels than ever before and with much better quality in most situations I use it. The only thing I added to the batwing was the digital extension and that did a decent job of producing channels.

Something else to consider. The issue I had was from a year ago I wasn't catching nearly the same number of channels that I had been. Come to find out the coax connection at the antenna itself had managed to work itself loose. After tightening that up everything was back to normal.
