Is it normal for a 2013 Forest River fifth wheel air conditioner to not keep up with 104 degree outdoor temp . We have a 32 ft three slides fifth wheel with a 15,000 btu ducted A/C.

It's normal.
Pick up some Reflectix at your favorite home improvement store.
Cuts with scissors. Put it in all windows that are exposed to the sun.
Then you will be a Happy Camper.

I will agree that one ac is not enough in a fiver that size. I have one 13500 and it won't keep up in direct sun above 90. I have 50 amp and wired for second ac but most places I camp don't have 50amp service anyway. I get by with what I have. I try to pick shade spots on extended stays. It makes a world of difference.

In those kind of temps, most any large RV with a single AC will find it hard to keep up. When we camp in those temps in our 32' rig, we will run our AC pretty much 24 hours a day, it does a decent job because we get a pretty good jump on cooling our rig before the heat of the day arrives.

One thing I forgot to mention, if you already haven't checked this: make sure that the foil tape in the ceiling vents is providing a good seal around the opening so that precious cooled air is not entering the attic space. It is alsoa good idea to remove the inside cover (4 screws) and make sure the foil tape is neat and providing good seal in there as well. Redoing the crappy factory foil taping in these areas was one of the first things I did when it was new. I'm sure this made a positive difference with efficiency and air flow.

New or old,,,,There is no way a single 15,000 AC will keep up with 104 degree air temps....Add a second AC and run a seperate line to the pole just for it , do a seach here and you will see that there have been a few that have done it themselves...Good Luck,,Joe

Brand new RV doesn't have anything to do with it.
3 slides (low insulating factor in ceilings), high temperature (104*F), one A/C unit working it's little heart out.
30A.....yep limited to one A/C.
Unless you install second A/C and power it with an extension cord from 20A circuit on power pedestal.
You'll already done the Reflex in the windows. (need 1" air gap between window surface and Reflex to do any good)
Same for any skylights/fan vents?
Is our awning extended to provide for some shade on side of rig?
Shades/blinds down?
Start the A/C early to get a jump on temps?
Filter clean/evap coil clean/good discharge air flow?
Check the ducts coming out of discharge....make sure they are sealed good so cold air isn't escaping into attic area....same with duct work at vents?
In 104*F temperature.....if you can get it down to 88-90*F A/C is working pretty good.
In that kind of temps I'd be doing what my Grandma did.....oscillating fan blowing over a tub of ice.
