For an example of the issue, I have several posts on the first page of this thread. My signature appears in one post, and does not appear in three posts. I did not "uncheck" (I believe) the box to append the signature.
Is something screwy with the system software, or with me?

Your signature will only appear in your first post in each thread in all forums except this one - the Forum Technical Support. Multiple postings with a signature are available in this forum so that users can check their signature more easily. At least that is what I understand.

I also say it's true, but I don't know why FTS is an exception. In fact, there is no need to make a post to check a change in a signature. When one changes his/her signature, the change is reflected in all past present and future posts that have a signature. That is because the signature is not stored with the post; it is stored in the member's account and added to those posts that qualify, when the page is laid out.
One can also see one's signature by viewing one's profile.
That said, FTS is the place to test, when one is having problems.
