Hello all. I have one central ducted a/c unit and a ducted furnace. I can heat up or cool down my unit very well. I wish to upgrade the manual cheapo looking thermostat to a digital programmable one. Is this possible in the Rv system? Can I just buy one from HD or Lowes?

Sure. I got a Lux with remote.. great unit. Most everyone on here has been using Hunter brand, (probably because it's cheap) but any digital thermo will work.
The Hunter T-stat is a good improvement but if you get an Energy Star rated unit is will be that much better. I keeps the temp closer to the set point and doesn't over shoot it. It also uses less energy. Mine was a Lux brand.
The only caveat with using any digital Stat is that you will have to wire up a separate switch for the AC fan speed or leave it in the Hi setting all the time.
