I have some questions for anyone who currently has a good sams extended warrenty. I realize there are different deductable options. Does the deductable apply to each item that is being fixed? Or could I say have 5 things on my coach fixed and pay one deductable? I have a few things that need fixing on my rv and am trying to figure out if i am better off buying an exteneded warrenty first.

It is per visit, not per item.

I am not 100% sure but I say per repair item. It is not a comprehensive insurance plan. It is a warranty extension plan. So if the generator goes out and the refrigerator goes out that is two items covered therefore two deductibles.

Yes, you are NOT sure
The deductable is PER VISIT on all policies. Whether you have 1 problem or 10 problems. That is why it is best to make a list of problems and try to get all fixed in 1 visit. Doug

According to the website it is per occurrence, not per item.

You might want to read the fine print on pre-existing conditions as they usually don't cover issues that existed prior to purchasing the policy.

And I thought there was a clause about the first 6 months.

Well, that is the rub. HOW does GS or ANY ESC determine when the failure occurred??????? The contract does NOT have a "grace" period. The contract runs for 1 year from your purchase date. There is NO 6 month anything on ESC contracts. But, they will argue or not pay a claim if the failure (major) occurrs in the first 45 days of the contract. What they do is look at the MILEAGE at time of start of contract and MILEAGE at failure of appliance. They DO understand that a LOT of RV'ers purchase a 1 year contract AFTER they have found a defective appliance or problem. This happens a LOT more than you think. The 1 year contract we call "Bad Sam", due to the exclusions and the lack of covered items. BTW, In this issue of GS magazine the CEO states they will NOT do these practices anymore and will cover wear and tear items. He did not address if this is contracts sold after the first of July or existing contracts also. Doug
