Didn't know where to put this. so move it if you want.

I in no way am saying stay away from MB. We are going in 2 weeks. I would just like to warn y'all to be careful. In the past couple weeks, There have been several Attacks in the surf, and now there is a video of a Bull shark taking a fish from a fisherwoman in what appears to be the intercoastal waterway, or river.

We all know they are there. I just want all of us to have a good time, and be safe.

Here's the video

The shark shows up about 42 seconds into the video. Note the language warning.

We go quite a few times too the beach, and we do swim in the ocean. The sharks have always been there and will always be.Ask one of the plane pilots that fly up the coast every day advertizing. On a clear day you can see quite a few sharks hanging out,and alot of them are in less than 5ft of water.I guess alot of folks just don't think about it.I know their there, but I still swim anyway.

Have to agree with mking. The ocean has fish in it. The ocean has jelly fish in it. The ocean has crabs in it. You won't find humans in it except as guests. Every now and then humans will be mistaken for fish food. Has been that way all my life, but I still will go in from time to time.

Yep...agree with others and I don't really like to go in myself. But will occasionally. About 10 years ago we were camping at St Andrews in Panama City. We wer having a great time in the water. I was showi my son how to boogie board like a pro. The last night we were there, we decided to go out on the pier. We had been there all week and never went out on it. We had just been playing in the water maybe a 100 yards away from it earlier that day. When we got up on the pier, you could see sharks and sting rays. Gave me the heebie jeebies. The next morni after waking up, I went outside our pop up we had at the time, to drink my coffee and to enjoy the sun coming up. I walked over to our campsite edge at the water (bay side). I stood there on the rocks axing across the bay, when all of a sudden about 50 yards away from shore, a large sharks dorsal fin rose to the water and glided across for about 5-10 seconds. I excelerated the packing process. Lol

Seems the Great Whites are visiting up north, so I wouldn't worry about them! I'm more afraid of the drive DOWN to MB with all the crazies on the road than I am of the sharks.

Ever since the movie "Jaws" came out in the 70's/80's ? I have not been in the ocean. I prefer pools.
