King of The Hammers is second weekend of February I think, it was 2/12-16 this year.

However Johnson Valley is open 24/7 365 for your offroading pleasure.

Alpine loop in Colorado is a must. Camping/riding out of Silverton is a great spot.

If on I-40,you gotta stop in Dogtown Lake, about 5 miles south on Perkinsville Road,at the Williams exit ,take 4th street south through town and you will be in Kaibab National Forest.Stay on road and exit left on Dogtown Lake road. You can boondock along this road or stay at the campground at the lake. You should ride to the top of Williams Mtn ATV or UTV and enjoy the view.If more time ,go to Sycamore Canyon lookout, about an hours ride on FS roads. This is the second most painted canyon in USA behind Grand Canyon.Lots of FS roads to ride, and the temp is 75 to 80 day and 45 to 55 at night. Also stop in town at some of the old route 66 places, lotta fun..
