Bought a 2500 Silverado Diesel LTZ long bed to pull a Chapparel Lite 275RLS. a 29.5 foot 5th wheel around 7700 / and 10,200. Well within a 2500 power. What hitch situation would deserve to be on this rig.... I need portable generators also, and know nothing about these rigs other than pulling a popup 12' Jayco around twenty years ago...
thanks for your consideration...

I have the B&W Companion. Anything by B&W is excellent equipment.

2x what hone eagle is telling you, don't buy the bare minimum hitch for you 5th. Go a least one step up. RV's are like boats, they tend to grow. Upgrade now is much cheaper than a total replacement in a couple of years.

Another B&W fan it will be a heavier hitch than you need right now but will allow you to get a bigger trailer in the future if you desire.

I am a fan of the Curt Q20 hitch. Well built and easy to remove if needed. Seeing that you have a long bed your open to many choices. But like others have said go for the larger hitch think ahead.

B&W for sure. One inch thick jaws. When you lock the handle YOU ARE LATCHED NO QUESTION. Never seen a damaged bed with a B&W, lots of Reese and RBW.
