http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/proble........veh_model_year=2010&searchtype=DrillDown. "TIFFIN WILL NOTIFY THE OWNERS, AND AUTHORIZED DAIMLER TRUCKS NORTH AMERICA (DTNA) DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND, AS NECESSARY, REPLACE THE BRAKE CALIPERS FREE OF CHARGE".

Sounds just like the Workhorse brake recall.

I know a person who attempted to get this recall work done and had to go through he!! to get the work done. Got nothing but the runaround about parts availability after he had spent money a few times trying to solve an obvious defect he wasn't aware of to begin with. Tiffin lost a lot of credibility with me after listening to him lay out that entire fiasco.

Its no wonder, cause the date of the recall was JUN 15, 2012. It takes time to get new parts into the system. 31 days or less certainly isn't enought time.

There is also a recall for "CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2007-2011 PHAETON, MY 2008-2010 BUS, AND MY 2010 ALLEGRO MOTORHOMES EQUIPPED WITH KONGSBERG AUTOMOTIVE ADJUSTABLE BRAKE PEDALS. THE ADJUSTABLE BRAKE PEDAL ARM MAY LOOSEN ALLOWING THE ARM TO ROTATE AROUND ITS SHAFT AND SWING IN FRONT OF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, REDUCING BRAKING FUNCTION."
source: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/proble........veh_model_year=2010&searchtype=DrillDown. "DAMILER TRUCKS (DTNA) IS PERFORMING RECALL REPAIRS AND NOTIFICATION TO OWNERS. THE OWNERS WERE INITIALLY NOTIFIED BY DTNA TRUCKS ON DECEMBER 22, 2009, AND A FOLLOW UP NOTICE WAS MAILED TO OWNERS ON JULY 20, 2011. OWNERS MAY CONTACT DTNA WARRANTY CLAIMS DEPARTMENT AT 1-800-547-0712 OR TIFFIN MOTORHOMES AT 1-256-356-8661 FOR MORE INFORMATION."

And both these recalls are actually on Damiler parts, not Tiffin.

Not 100 % true.. Allegro and Allegro Bays during that time frame was also available with the Freightliner front engine diesels.

Ah, I'm dense - the DAMILER connection!

While Tiffin does the recall, the problem is a Freightliner issue. It shouldn't reflect badly on Tiffin IMHO. Not any more than the Workhorse recall for the same problem did anyway.

As a Workhorse chassis owner who had brake failure twice and almost went over the side of a mountain on one of them. I can vouch that Workhorse took every opportunity to pay the absolute minimum they could to the owners. They did only what the government required and nothing else. They made me drive 50 miles to get an original copy of a receipt for towing of my coach and then deducted $3.20 cents off the bill for the toll the tow driver paid while towing my coach. Many of the private repair facilities did yeoman's work, but the company did a horrible job and now they are gone. They shafted me out of hundreds of dollars and were very nasty on the phone. This story was repeated over and over.
