Just went through the electrical connections on my brakes and now have really good brakes, and a really good Buzz when parked and applied.
But when I pull the breakaway switch, no Buzz at all.
I have confirmed switch is working. Voltage in and voltage out when pulled.
I have 12V to all connections going into the main brake wire in electrical box.
It appears that the switch outlet wire connects to the main wire in the electrical box in the pin box.
Shouldn't the brakes Buzz when the breakaway switch is pulled?

Normally you would not hear a "buzz" when the break away switch is pulled. The trailer brake voltage is DC so there is nothing to make the brakes buzz. The buzz you hear when you apply your service brakes is caused by the pulsing of the voltage/current to the brakes that is created by your brake controller. It controls the amount of trailer braking by rapidly switching the brake voltage/current on-and-off, with the ratio of on-to-off time being proportional to the amount of braking force.

Got a compass....

Hold it close to wheel, have someone pull the emergency brake switch pin.
Compass needle will deflect if magnets are getting voltage.

Doesn't tell you how much just that they are being energized. Quick/easy test.
Repeat for each wheel.

To test my brakes, I will jack up one wheel at a time and I will spin that wheel then have someone hit the brake control to make sure that all wheels are working. You could just jack up one wheel and have someone pull emergency pin to see if brakes lock up.
