Anyone have any recommendations for RV Parks/resorts near Lake Compounce Amusement park in Bristol CT. I will be driving in from Rhode Island and wanted to stay close to park.

Sorry to give you the bad news,but no campgrounds in that area at all......can stay out near the Mass line ,maybe a 45 minute drive in or try
Watertown ,Ct there is a campground there called BranchBrook...that should be 1/2 hr ride in.....or can dry camp at Cabella's in East Hartford....Chuck

I think the closest private campground is Gentile's Campground in Plymouth. Gentile's is listed on the CampConn website under Litchfield county. I don't know if they have a website of their own. I've never stayed there so I can't say how it is but Lake Compounce is a nice amusement park. The water park side of it does get very crowded.
We would NOT recommend Gentiles. It was probably the worst campground that we ever visited. Branch Brook is a better choice and there is Black Rock State Park across the street from Branch Brook.
