Just replaced the four on my Bayhauler. Good Year G614's. $1665.00 out the door. The ones I replaced were 8 yrs old, not seven as I had thought. Hope these last that long. Now to get it in the shop tomorrow to repair all the damage done when one blew out 2 wks ago.

I don't think you got hosed. That's reasonable for good tires.

You didn't do that in the last couple years. Those 6 M's are going to run upwards of 3k now.

For 1/3 the price for G614's? Less than $140.00 apiece? I don't believe that.

It does sound like the OP should have replaced his tires at least 2-3 weeks earlier before the blowout however.

Best internet price I find is HERE @ 323 each. Add in tax, shipping, mounnting, balancing and it adds up fast. $397 appears to be the going rate on many other sites. I believe 64 thunderbolt got a fair average price considering it was not a internet purchase and he was supporting a normal stick/brick store. My 614 date code is 3307 so I'm right at 5 years. Looks like a big chunk of my tax refund in Febuary will go to new tires. Randu

Ouch is the understatement!! We just put 6 new ones on the Recon Fourth of July week at it was just shy $2400. We happened to buy at the right time, we get a $50 rebate per tire so that's a nice $300 savings especially when we weren't planning on new tires at that specific time. Darn blowouts

Not going to comment on the price of the tires. as I wouldn't have good years if they gave them to me.

But, you seem to be hoping the new tires last as long as the old ones. I would suggest not waiting as long to change the new ones out. I change mine out in the spring of their 5th year. not too much fun, changing a tire on the side of the road, and also not too much fun having your trailer repaired in the middle of camping season.
