Our Denver plans have changed so we are thinking of leaving Mount Rushmore on August 16 and have to be in Grand Canyon September 12..with stops in Salt Lake, UT, Reno, Yosemite, Death Valley, Vegas and then to Grand Canyon. Is this do-able, any recommendations as to roads and RV parks at these spots?

From Reno we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge on the way to Yosemite and went out Fresno way to Kings Canyon to see some big trees. We decided to skip Death Valley and did LegoLand and surfed a couple days in Carlsbad CA before heading back to LV, Hover Dam, SkyWalk and Willams for the train ride to GC and caught Monument Valley on way to four corners.
You have the time to make your new route depending on how long you stay at each place. We ride more than we camp. 
Actually it was our once in a lifetime cross country to the Pacific field trip with the kids.

Since you have a 34' Coach you will find many easily accessible State parks in California...at Yosemite, try the Thousand Trails Park, public welcome. Not too much in SLC unless you side trip to Bonneville Salt Flats. Only one park in DV with full hookups. Stay at Sams in Vegas if you want convenience and a decent priced campground. In Reno, we like the GSR, Grand Sierra Resort....bring your clubs and use their driving range into the reservoir.....Dennis

Interesting list of places... I take it you have already been to Devil's tower, Yellowstone, and the Grand Tetons as they are much closer to Mount Rushmore.
Unless you plan to visit Lake Tahoe while you are in Reno there is not much else there. Yosemite is great but kind of a pain to get to with an RV. Death Valley in mid-September is still mid 100's. Have you been to Moab, UT (Arches NP and Canyonlands NP), Monument Valley, or Lake Powell? They are great western places to see.

I-80 was awesome. We came up on the great salt flats and were blown away. Pictures just do not prepare a redneck for that kind of stuff.
We did drop south and drove the top coast line of Lake Tahoe. That is one beautiful place. From there to GG Bridge it was kind of run of the mill views the best I remember.
Grove country was nice getting into Yosemite. Those pine cones at the gate into the NP were so HUGE. I guess the water fall was the main highlight of Yosemite. We are 32' and no toad so Yosemite was very doable and we stayed in 1st or 2nd from gate to gate I think. A past forest fire let us see much of the canyon before we decended to the floor. Going out 41 was a snap.

You people are making me jealous. Stuck at the desk job for a while.... Ah well. 
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

As stated above, be prepared for some brutally hot camping in Vegas and Death Valley. If you haven't already, book campsites at Trailer Village. It's inside the park at the south entrance of the Grand Canyon. It gas shuttle service all around the park from the front of the campsite.
