Yes to the accident, don't know about the storm damage. It is designed to get you to a safe place capable of doing needed repairs. If you are in a Campground, you are probably in a safe place.

Good question on storm damage. Say your in a rest area/walmart waiting out a major storm and something major happens to the rv. I don't think it would cover hail damage like broken windows/vents,but maybe a tree falling on it? But then I would guess your insurance would kick in then.

My note to Zach:
In the process of buying our RV insurance for the next year. We have GS RA Platinum already in place. Was told by GS Ins agent that we would not need to purchase towing with a RV ins policy. That GS RA would cover towing under any and all circumstances. I am skeptical.
GS RA # ********.
Thanks for any info you could share. Those on the forum would also be interested.

To the forum readers;
Hopefully we will all find out if I have been mis-informed or that we actually have a good deal with our towing from GS RA.

To my knowlegde there is no roadside assistance available that provides "towing under any and all circumstances". I'm not sure who you spoke to but we do not have a program without guidelines. SomedayisNow we can address this when I contact you. I have provided a link to the Good Sam Platinum Roadside Assistance benefit brochure for all who are reading this thread below.

http://www.goodsamers.com/images/pdf/BE2053-GSRA_PLT_MBB_for_web.pdf

Page 16 of the benefit brochure details Service Limitations and there is a bullet point that specifically addresses acts of god or nature. In most cases in the scenarios provided only emergency service providers would be able to dispatch service. Under most circumstances if storm damage disabled your vehicle we would provide assistance though you would probably want to contact your insurance provider first to ensure that you meet any specific requiremments they have for filing this type of claim.

If there are any additional questions concerning his topic please feel free to contact member services at 800-842-5351.

Thank you, Zach

Thanks Zach for the link. After reading the brochure, really feel I need a further talk with the agent. Sounds like not everybody is on the same page regarding various programs & benefits.
