Traveling to San Diego 1st week of August for a week plus a couple days. I was going to park my 20ft TT at a friends house. Plans fell thru...as they so often do.

Looking for a campground around the northern end of the San Diego area, somewhere fairly close to/on/around Mira Mesa Blvd in "Sorrento Valley", preferably closer to I-805 than I-15, but I'll look at everything. Showing up Aug 5th, leaving about Aug 13/14th.

If all else fails, I'll do the KOA in Chulu Vista. 20+ miles from where I gotta be every day. A bit of a commute, but it'll work.

We stayed here http://www.santeelakes.com/and was not disappointed. I don't know if it will be too far for you to travel back and forth but it is a great place

Looks like a decent place. Short of any other replies, I'm gonna give them a call in the morning.
Thanks for the reference.

There's Mission Bay and Campland on the Bay both are about 10 miles from Mira Mesa Blvd, just a couple of options.

Another vote for Santee Lakes...great campground

We also enjoy Mission Bay. It's a so-so campground, but in a GREAT location. Beach and water right at the park. They take Passport America Mon-Thurs for 50% off.

it may be too late to find something, since you don't have reservations.
you'll probably have to go inland to find anything available unless you luck out with a cancellation.
