Went to Camperworld to look at Class C motor homes. After awhile the salesman and the sales manager switched places. The salsman disappeared and the sales manager appeared acting as the same person. Right away the sales manager starts talking about a new Class A motorhome. He talked so much that he would not let me say I was not interested. What really got me upset is when he was saying how the Ford V-10 had the "BIG" heads because the large motor home had enough room for them where as the Ford trucks don't. I said , Oh the 3 valve heads and he said no ,the 4 valve "BIG" heads. There are NO 4 valve heads made for a Ford V-10. There was no reason to say something like that. It was a complete fabricated story for no reason. They are all liers.

I take exception to that last comment, as I had a very successfull first career in sales and marketing. If I were you I would refrain from ever buying anything from a salesperson. However, that may not work out so well either. Macktee

In other industries, true quality sales people are what keep a company alive.

Once upon a time in a galaxy far away.....I was desperate for a job and I took one selling replacement windows. It was a good product but exceptionally overpriced, and the sales gimmick was to go into the person's home and do a Kirby vacuum type of presentation. I didn't lie to the potential customer; I was a lousy salesman; I never sold anything; I quit.

Macktee, Even you having had a successful first career in sales and marketing, must admit that a salespersons entire career is based on the gift of gab. Realize that what a salesperson and the courts accept as "product burnishing or puffery" meets a much lower standard than what the general public is willing to accept as honesty. Just because something is legal does not mean that it is ethical! The millions of shady salesman stories are not made up of whole cloth.
A salesmans success and longevity in the trade is solely based on closed sales and commissions earned and when faced with missing the mortgage payment or being ethical, sometimes ethics is the loser.
As a child it was impressed upon me by my parents that I was judged by the company I kept. Guess what they were right!
