The DW and I went to kick some tires today and came close to making a deal. So close I had to leave to cool off a bit. We looked at the Winnie Lite Five 30FWRES, 2- Cougars, 327RES and 331MKS and we are waiting to see a Montana HC 303RK that's on order. My wife is very partial to the rear kitchen models but the Cougar 327RES has plenty of the counter space that means so much to her. The Winnie is the lightest at 8600#'s and 1660# pin weight. It was also the cheapest, shortest (32') and least amount of amenities. There's no question my TV will handle the winnie with no problems. The other 3 fivers all come in around 10K #'s with pin weights between 1545#'s to 1760#'s. I'm really looking for fellow RVer's experiences with these brands and who are pulling with 250/2500 TV's. As a side note, I have read the horror stories about the Lippert frames which is a genuine concern of mine. All of these are 2013 models and I hope things are better now. Any comments or experiences are appreciated.

Yes you hear horror stories about Lipppert frames on forums because that is what forums report. We do not hear from the thousands upon thousands of folks who never had a problem. Not familiar with the winnie light but the Couger and HC are both good light weights.Counter spave and storage spave would make the difference for us.

The Lippert frame issue is one where folks who haven't had a problem "IT doesn't exist" to those who have had a Lippert frame problem "It is a major problem". Do you like to play the odds?

There's a huge thread at irv2.com for the Cougar 321 with 660 replies. Don't know if it will help you or not.............

Thanks Phillyg. I'm anxious to look at the Montana HC. I'm curious to how well the F-250's handle pulling.

I owned 3 Montana's before trading for a 2013 Landmark, no problems with any of them other than the decals cracking or pealing. Have looked at the HC and they are nice.

Lots of folks have never heard of rv.net. I have talked to many and get a blank look when I ask them. Some have had lippert frame problems without knowing what a lippert is.
