Our 2008 Terry 30.5 RL2S was in a hail storm and the rear and bathroom vent covers were broken. What company manufactured the vents on these trailers? Is it possible to replace just the covers rather than the whole unit. The screen is fine and the only damage is to the cover. It isn't obvious to me how to get the cover off at the hinge.
Yes it's possible to replace just the cover. There are 3 or 4 different models, so you'll have to double check to make sure you get the right one. I got mine at the local RV dealer just to make sure I got the right one. Some of the online RV suppliers are not real clear about what cover you are ordering.
It's kind of a pain on some because you have to partially disassemble the crank mechanism to replace the cover.
If you have the option you might want to spring for the polycarbonate covers. They are supposed to be more resistant to breakage.
camping world carries them,,, check how your hinge is, some have differant hinge types...
Yes, there are at least 3 different hinge styles. Beware, Camping World may not have the exact style you need in stock. Happened to me on both vent lids I had to replace, so had to resort to Amazon and other places to order. This has a benefit in that it's invariably cheaper than CW. :-) CW isn't the only game in town, and any large RV dealer is likely to have parts but, again, they will likely be more expensive. Also, you may have to replace the crank to match the lid; take the old crank with you, just to be sure. If you can't get the broken lid off to take with you, take some good pics of them to take with you to show the counter man.

You should have the roof checked (if rubber) by some place that you trust and knows what to look for. My friend had is vent covers and skylight broke by hail. Talked to the tech and he said that a rubber roof may look ok, but what happens is when the hail stones hit the rubber roof they bounce, but can leave little slits in the rubber. They went on the roof and sure enough the roof had slits all over it. Insurance paid for a new roof, skylight and the covers, and to have the max air covers installed over the vents. along with new roof decking. cost was about $17K

Unscrew the opening crank mechanism which will let the lid fully open on the roof. Then you can see how the lid is attached: screws, pop rivets or like mine described below.
Replaced ours last year. Not a difficult job. The hinge on mine is two pieces of rolled sheet metal (one on the base-one on the lid)which slide apart. Once you unscrew and remove the opening crank mechanism the lid will fully open (on the roof) then you slide the lid sideways to remove from the base. Got the replacements from CW. Something like $12 or $20 apiece.
Good luck...hardest part is climbing up and down on the roof.
