We have am automatic awning on our 5th Wheel. Can you somehow, keep the same awning, but turn it into a manual awning?

The roller tube and the fabric are probably all that would be interchangeable IMO.

I think not. If I am correct the Eagle Superlite is alumnum framed and as such has mounting backers installed to accept the power awning. To mount the standard awning arms the frame would not have the wood inserts at the mounting points thus NOT have the strength to hold the awning. This pre installed mounting plate or wood filler requirement is why longer size awninga are not offered...mountings would be required in special places slowing production. If you want to know for sure call Jayco NOT the dealer as most of them are BS artists and really don't know. I was given the info I just passed to you by the folks at KZ which are built very much the same as the Eagle series when using aluminum framed walls and roof

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

Should be an easy swap.
We had our manual awning changed to an automatic awning.
The installer used our old awning and awning tube and just replaced the arms with the automatic ones.
You should be able to just buy the arms and install as long as you have the spring mechanism inside the tube.

I wish I could find it, but recently there was a post asking the same thing, and it came down to 'yes you can do it' but it wasn't practical to do so as it is very pricey.

It may not be as easy as it sounds..
Going from Auto to Manual requires either a new tube, or a spring along with replacement ratchet hubs, there is no need to replace the fabric.
What else needs to be added are tension rods that are not on any automatic awning, nor are the support posts. You are better off replacing the entire thing if working and selling it.

I went from auto to manual. The body shop had to fill in some holes for the power cord and where the frame bolted into the middle of the side wall. It all depends on which make/model.

I'm not sure of make and model. Our dealer was great for the sale, but their service department leaves a little to be desired, so I e-mailed Jayco. If I don't hear from them in the next couple of days, I'll call them. The electric awning has been conveninet at certain times, for instance, one campground the site was very small and our awing was over the fire ring, so it was easy to roll in every night to have a fire. However on the inconvenient side, when we have strong winds, we have to roll in the awning, put everything away that was under the awning because we can't tie the awning down. We are afraid that the wind will take it up and over the camper.
