We are planning on visiting Branson in October of 2012. Could I get some recommendations for RV parks in the area? We have a 43' motorhome and would like a park which is manoeuverable and roomy. Also, for our roof satellite dish, we would like a site without too many trees.

Up in the left hand side of this page you will see a search box, enter Branson there and you will get hundreds of posts on Branson and good recommendations. You might check out ABC Campground or the Branson KOA, both are nice RV resorts

Good advice about the Search function.
We were in Branson three weeks ago. Stayed at the KOA. Recommend it. There are some trees, but the management will make you happy.
Our 40 footer fit easily. Park is easy in and out. Call before you arrive for the best route to follow. Traffic can be murder sometimes in Branson.

We stayed at ABC RV Park. There was no shade but a lot of the sites are unlevel. Some better than others. The sites are all grey gravel and if you have dogs they get filthy immediately. The restrooms were very clean and they have a nice pool.

They have some roomy patio sites that you might
Like. Look online. We always get a back in wooded
Site.
The last time we were in Branson, about a month ago, we stayed there. We were very happy with it, and will definitely stay there again. Good restrooms and showers, the pool was great, wifi worked good all the time. They have those new "patio" sites in the center area which have no trees, but would be ideal for satellite set-up.
On edit, I forgot to mention that they are a Passport America park, as well as an Escapees discount park. Either way, it's half price. We only paid $20.00 per night as PPA members.

We have reservations in about 3 weeks at Table Rock Lake State Park in a full hook up site. We also have a rooftop dish and it looks like our site will be out in the open. Having never been to any campground in the Branson area, we hope that we picked a good one.

Table Rock state park campground #2. They have full hookups and roomy sites along with good view set up for your satellite. The cost with full hookups during the season is $26.00 per nite.
