My TH carries 100 gal fresh water. I usually take an extra 45 gal water bladder with us to the desert. The bladder is a pain in my backside. Im looking at a company called US Plastic Corp. I can get a 55 gal barrel for $113 and a pump for around $40. Does that sound about right?? And, i believe it was FREE shipping.

Make sure the barrel & pump are designed for potable water unless you plan to use the water for other than drinking. Price seems OK.

Or you can contact your local soft drink bottler and get their syrup barrel throw aways for free or 10.00 or so. Pump price sounds about right. I have five food grade barrels from local Pepsi Bottler free

I use something like this. It takes up less room.

You guys just 'have' to start looking at the websites for horse trailer equipment! More items to choose from and way less than RV named equipment.
This link has over 14 different water tanks. My favorite is the corner one, takes up almost O space in the toy hauler. Friend of mine bought two one for each corner. Scroll down to bottom for tanks.

This is the corner one ADD the stand and you can put them in the BACK of the garage.

Might look at the same pump that is in the TH, that way if it goes bad you have an (exact fit replacement). With just a little wiring to hook up the 12V and some hoses to pump in and out and you will be ready to go.

Check out this site too, and you can find a rectangular tank that is easier to strap down, and probably can come with a fitting for the pump too. Might even find one that can be mounted below the toyhauler, and built in.

Look around. We've got a place just outside town called Surplus City, kind of an off-the-wall box store, sell a little bit of just about everything...little of it "surplus" despite the name. For $15 they sell white plastic (nylon?) 55g barrels with top (bungs will cost you an additional $7), single use by restaurants, &c, used for bulk vinegar, peanut/soy/&c oil. All potable products (if you can say potable for other than water). They're heavy, thick plastic. I bought several ~20 years ago (paid maybe $2 back then) to haul water to trees out in the back pasture, they're pretty well scratched up from years of hard use but still good as new for functionality.
