Would love to hear your suggestions as we will be there next week. We are staying in Cape Cod Camping Resort as we have biz up in Boston so I want to be near the beginning. However we will cruise the whole arm if the food is good. Thanks

Captain Scotts, excellent sea food, just off the canal, north of Hwy 6 on Hwy 6A in Sandwich - also, while your there, visit Heritage Plantation also in Sandwich ... and right down the road, the state fish hatchery.

We don't eat at the high-end places...but for that "local" feel... I would suggest.

North Shore: JT's in Brewster, MA...along 6A. Great clam strips. The Brewster Scoop (back side of the Brewster general store) for ice cream at night.

Captain Frosty's seafood in Dennis on 6A..can't miss it.

South Shore Ice cream: The Sundae School in Harwich Port (rt 28) or the Lil Caboose in South Yarmouth.

For nicer dining, Impudent Oyster in Chatham. Chatham gets crazy busy at night...so be ready for crowds. After eating in Chatham, drive Main St. to the Coast Guard station (with the lighthouse)...and you can park and watch the sunset.

Been going to Cape Cod for over twenty years and I think we have hit most of the restaurants.
With a stay up near Eastham we found a place called Arnolds Clam house, it was awesome...some of the best fried lobster I have ever had. Not expensive and lots of choices for all kinds of seafood.
Enjoy your trip!

If in P-town, a stop at the Lobster Pot is always in order for me.
But you might have to dodge those practicing an "Alternative lifestyle".

What do you consider good seafood? Most of what I run into on the cape is fast touristy summer vacation stuff of the fried clam / fish and chips variety, some of the above are very good except I was not impressed with Seafood Sams on the canal. For the better sit down restaurants stay in or near Boston, Yelp has good info on such. There is great Italian food in Boston too.
