It's time to renew my roadside assistance and I have never had to use it. We have not been RVing last couple of years so haven't been reading the RV.Net and we are out of touch.
I'm wondering if Coach-Net is still considered a top provider or if another one is better?

CoachNet has served me well. They are the only service I have ever had so I have no experience with any of the other providers.

Did a lot of research on roadside assistance last year before buying our coach using the "most folks will ***** about bad service but not say anything about good service" theory.
I went with CoachNet. I was amazed by how many positive comments they received with very very few poor ones. That being said I haven't had to use it yet.

I have Coach Net and used them on our New England trip last year. Had a screw in the tire. Made it to campsite and called them. Told them they could send someone out in the morning, but they had someone there in less than an hour. Funny thing though, the guy said Coach Net wouldn't pay him to fix the tire, only put my spare on. So I paid him $30 to put a boot in it. It would have cost me that much or more to find a place the next day. No time lost traveling, I considered it a win-win.
Also I have been in two rallys after rain storms and watched many rigs being winched out by Coach Net providers. Those without coverage paid up to $100 or more.

I think Coach-Net and Good Sam are equally good providers. It's just a personal preference.

We have had Good Sam for several years and never had a problem with them when we needed service. In fact this trip we have had to call in three times. Once for a nail in a trailer tire which the service tech repaired on the spot where we were in an RV park. The other two were when the truck battery went dead. The second time the tech told us it was the alternator and that we later had to cover ourselves to be replaced. But that was fair.

I've been happy with Good Sam myself. Coachnet gets a lot of praise. Good Sam came through once for us in the middle of nowhere.
The only thing I'd change about Good Sam is the fact if you break down locally, they'll only tow to a nearby garage rather than your home.
RV'ing is like ice cream. You just can't get enough of it.
However, I ended up eating too much ice cream so I had to go on the Scarsdale Diet because I had a big gut. LOL

Congratulations...your a winner. The best road side assistance is the one you never need to use; it was not a waste of money it was peace of mind. JMHO
Personally, I think all of the "big three" are ok, especially if you don't need to use them. All three have positive and negative posts constantly.
For what it is worth, I currently have Good Sam. The three year price was right.
Happy Trails, and may your good fortune continue to ride with you.

I say It does not pay to have health or life insurance until your around 55 yrs old.
