Michelin, X Radial LT2, anyone have these on their TV?
Satisfied, dissatisfied, any input.
I'm needing new tires due to some small cracking. Tread is good, mileage is low, but tires are aging.

I am on my 2nd set of them. The 1st set did not give me the mileage that the original LTX's did but the performance is the same.

Buy the LTX2 but I don't think they make anything but LTX2s. COSTCO is the cheapest if they will put them on.

LTX M/S. That's what I currently have but they need replaced
LT2 is the next down, same ratings except LXT get a 10 for wear and the
LT2 gets a 9. The have been a great tire but getting old and I no longer need the M/S rating. LT2s are a tad less expensive.
I just found the other LXT models..Thanks
Thanks for the input...

Great truck tires. Only con is that they tend to grab and chuck large stones. If you hit gravel alot be careful to let the tires "clean out" at slower speeds first.

I have about 50,000 on my Michelin LT 265/75R16 load range E tires. The stock tires were 245 LRE.
They are not to the wear bars yet. I mounted them on an 8 inch wide Weld aluminum wheel. I do not see the LT being offered any more.
Michelin must be the best tires made.
They command the highest price of any tire in each category they serve.
They came standard on our Mercedes and our Porsche.
They are one of the very few tires approved by Porsche , which has a top speed of 184 mph. The autobahn is where this matters of course.
For myself I am a big believer in the Load Range E tires in the next size higher for truck tires even if I run them at 50 PSI not the 80 PSI maximum.
Each tire has a weight rating of 3415 # at 80 PSI. That's 13,660 # for my 9200 GVW pickup that normally goes down the road at 6800 # .
They still have a 2601 # weight rating at 44 PSI.
I run them at 50 PSI and increase the pressure when we do an extended trip when I run my pickup up to 8400# loaded.
I have about 7000 miles left on these , I imagine.
They handle well for a truck tire but much of this comes from the 8 inch rim width and the extra 10mm of tire width.
If I was to switch away I would still buy a 265/75R16 load Range E tire in a Kumho, Bridgestone, maybe Goodyear in a highway tread.

That was the case with the LT tires that came on my old TV ('00 Dodge van). That and I did not get the tread life I was expecting out of these high-dollar tires, consequently I've avoided Michelin since then.

When I first moved to Wyoming I had Michelin tires on my F250 PU. I don't know about the tires chucking rocks but the Michelin tires only had a few miles on them. I drive on gravel roads. My ranch is on a gravel road. Had a flat about once a week. Stone bruises from the rough gravel roads. Since I had previously always driven on paved highways never had a problem. Bought new Kelly tires and no more flats.

Try Goodyear. I noticed you have a trailer and I have a 5er, but I have the G14 tires. I use to have Michelin on a Class A many years ago and over a period of time they all blew.
Be sure to get tires for a trailer not car. They are different.
