Happen to me over the weekend.
An more seasoned Camper at the CG said he sees it ( or hears it ) all of the time.
Just wondering.
Sorry for the typos, I am probably posting from a not so smart SmartPhone !

mine moans every trip. I have been cruising the forums trying to figure it out. I am thinking it is either I need to grease my ball or maybe I am adjusting the sway bar too tight. Maybe one of these great camping veterans here will help clue us in.

My old w/d system groaned all the time. My new Reese dual cam groans at times. There have been many discussions on proper lubrication of the w/d bars. My w/d system has 2 spots where it says "oil".

At times it just sounds wrong and a bit scary, but it’s the nature of the beast…
While in tome you get used to it it never makes you feel better about it… it still sounds wrong…

Our Equal-i-zer made some awful noises when it was new. It got a little better with some wear on the bars but it still does it. It's worse if there is any moisture on them, or excessive dust. Don't lube too much, that is part of your sway control. So friction is a good thing.
One time we missed a turn and had to do a u-turn in the large parking lot of a vet's office in Wyoming. We were quite sure the vet was going to come out and offer to euthanize our dying cow, based on the horrible noise the bars were making!

my eaz-lift did it when it was new and whenever it gets wet (rained on). My little boy calls it "the whale".

As others stated, it is apparently normal. Ours does it all the time. I've greased everything on there. Do get a little jealous to see campers creep by without a sound sometimes. Most of them are smaller ones. Not sure if that has anythign to do with it.

When I had that type of hitch it was my sway bars that made all the noise. Will
