Wine country, rivers, trees, Columbia River, maybe some fishing, historical places. Not so much the desert. Will be traveling North on Interstate 5.

Oregon has a bazillion campgrounds. Oregon is a very RV friendly state. Their state parks are first rate.
What are you looking for?...desert, mountain, ocean beaches, lakes, rivers, covered bridges, lighthouses, big cities, out of the way villages, sand dunes, expensive luxury rv resorts, off the beaten path boondocking, Walmarts....
well, you get the idea.

if you get near Boardman Oregon on the Columbia, there is Boardman Park and Marina, nice clean grassy place, also Umatilla Oregon just up the river a few miles is Umatilla Marina rv park, you need to call and make a reservation at both, quite busy this time of year. Happy Campin..........Ron

Get off of I5. Go up the coast route of Hwy 101. Beautiful route up the Pacific coast.

The Whalers' Rest Resort is very nice. It is not just Thousand trails. Uses many other RV networks.

A lady where we're staying right now said Sea and Sand RV Park is nice. They have some waterfront sites but when I checked they were booked for the dates I wanted.

If you want to go to the coast, I recommend Neskowin Creek RV Resort. It's my home park. Here's a link to a post of mine from another thread.

Neskowin Creek is a members park, they are pretty full most of the weekends, it's my home park too. Give them a call and if there in a good mood they may let you in.
