Will be leaving Seattle in the morning and driving the Olympic peninsula with an eventual destination of Astoria before turning east and heading home to La. Our only reservation is in Port Townsend for 3 nights. We have a max of 2 weeks to spend on the OP and the Washington coast. I would love to hear your suggestions on favorite RV parks and points of interest. I am driving a 34 ft Fleetwood Bounder diesel towing a car on a dolly.

Did that loop last month from Astoria to Tacoma. Also two years ago. lake Quinault worth a stay for a few days and drive car into the Quinault rain forest. We stayed at Rain Forest Resort village - rarely full. Before stayed in Forks for several days and toured the coast and the Hoh rain forest. Also worth a stop. Another stop we like is Salt Creek County Park west of Port Angeles. Good access at Port Angeles to the National Park.

My favorite place is Log Cabin Resort on the North end of Lake Crescent! Lots to do there!

I was up there around July 4 in 1998. It was a lot of fun, saw lots of huge trees, and had a great time!

Have fun camping!

A friend told us that her favorite spot is on the Washington Coast... check out the route between Forks to LaPush. Not sure if it's a good enough road to be towing a car behind.

She liked the trails going down to and along the beach area.

The Escapees Club has a very nice park in Chimacum, fifteen minutes from Port Townsend. If not a member, it could be worth your while joining. It's called The SKP's Evergreen Coho Park. Seven year waiting list to get a life time leased lot there. Very nice and price can't be beat for that area.

Hurricane Ridge is a must for anyone traveling the Olympic Peninsula. Took my breath away.
