I'm going to get one to be rid of the pump cycling so much, but what size works out best? Too small and the pump may still cycle too often. Too big and the pump may run too long.

As a guideline, a one-gallon accumulator will send out a quart+ of water before the pump kicks in. You can take it from there.

I recently installed a 2 gal. It works well without running to awful long to refill (maybe 45 secs or so) be then you can use quite a bit before it kicks on again. Biggest advantage is the cold water pulses in shower are now gone. BRRRRR!!!!

You can trade your Bounder for Chinook
Read what the others say about the pump

Just finished installing it and had to share! This pump is better than anything written about it. I was hesitant because of the cost, but after turning everything on, there was no noise coming from the pump! Further, when turning everything on - there was no drop in pressure - anywhere! Get it - you will not be disappointed!

I'm confussed. I'm on my 3rd motorhome and I've never owned one that did not already have an accumulator. What's up with that!

I did install the 2 gallon stainless steel one from Campers Choice, and it works great. Before we go to bed at night, we shut off the water pump, it's under our bed, and the accumulator supplies enough water for the entire night. No pump noise in the middle of the night!
