I seem to have gotten myself into a wee fix. When I started to roll the awning up The one side was not all the way down and it ripped the mounting screws out of the trailer. As if that was not bad enough, It looked like it was damp where the screws came out. I think the long lag screws will be ok but the 1/4 inch head screws are not holding the track tight to the fiberglass wall. I am trying to figure out how to check what damage is done to the inside of the fiberglass wall. All I can think of is to drill some 1/2 holes into the fiberglass vertical from where the screws pulled out and look for damage. Any ideas on how to make this repair? It looks like it is just at the very end of the awning track but who knows till you get into it. I am not much of a body man but I have a friend who can fiberglass the outside after the repair. Can I use expanding foam or is there something better? The trailer is bonded fiberglass with wood frame. I can not find any signs of water damage on the inside of the trailer. Any suggestions on how to make the repair and what material would work.
Thanks for any help you can suggest
