Camping World Continues Reaching Out to Those in Need
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Affinity Group, Inc.
Wednesday October 12, 2005
(Bowling Green, KY)— Hurricanes Katrina and Rita are long-gone, but Camping World has not forgotten about the thousands of people who still need help and will continue to need help.
Throughout the months of November and December, Camping World will be hosting a holiday charity event in each of their stores across the nation. During that time, each store will have a Giving Tree on display and customers will be given the opportunity to purchase a paper ornament to hang on the tree for a $1 donation. All proceeds collected will be given to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund in support of the victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Additionally, Camping World will match the dollar amount collected in all stores, and a check will be presented to the American Red Cross.
The American Red Cross responds to more than 67,000 disasters every year, dealing with fires, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, and more. The Disaster Relief Fund is made up entirely of donations from the public. It provides many areas of assistance, including food, clothing and shelter for disaster victims, medical supplies, counseling, meals for emergency workers, and information hotlines to help people locate family members affected by a disaster. For more information, visit redcross.org.
