Canadian Good Sam Club Members Receive Two Days of Emergency Health Insurance Benefits for Free

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Good Sam Club announced at the 2003 Great North American RV Rally in Louisville, Kentucky, that Canadian Club members will receive a special two-day Travel Health Insurance product each year at no cost while traveling outside their home province or Canada. Canadian residents who are Good Sam members and have Provincial Health Coverage are automatically covered for emergency health insurance benefits for any number of overnight trips taken during the first two days while coverage is in effect.

“The Good Sam Club is committed to providing our members with superior service and a wide range of exclusive benefits,” said Good Sam Club executive director, Sue Bray. One of the benefits exclusive to Canadian members is two days of emergency travel health insurance for any new sickness or injury for an unlimited number of overnight trips, while Good Sam pays the premium. “This free two-day coverage is perfect for quick trips over the border or any other out-of-province or out-of-country trips,” continued Bray.

“As part of our service to our Canadian members we also provide affordable travel health insurance products for snowbirds,” stated Bray. “We want to make sure they are covered when they leave their home province for an extended period of time.” The product is aptly named Good Sam Travel Health Advantage for Snowbirds.

Good Sam HealthCare Plus is another Club program exclusively designed for Canadian Good Sam members without group benefits. Specifically, it is designed for individuals who do not have health or dental benefits.

“We want to encourage our U.S. Good Sam Club members to visit Canada as well,” said Bray. Good Sam Visitor Health Advantage provides visitors to Canada with temporary emergency travel health insurance. It is designed specifically for people who visit Canada temporarily without Canadian provincial health care.

Trent Health Insurance Corporation of Toronto, Canada manages this new benefit. For more information contact the Good Sam Insurance Program at 1-888-237-1177.
