Idol Fever Hits RV Rally

(Hutchinson, Kansas.) – With music idol search fever still sweeping the country, the Great North American RV Rally is hosting its 2nd Annual Rally Idol contest as part of this year’s attractions. This week, the search is on for a singing star among Rally participants in Hutchinson, Kansas. RV owners are unleashing their hidden talents and will be belting out their version of their favorite song in front of fellow Rally-goers from all over the United States and Canada.
All participants will perform in front of an enthusiastic audience and panel of judges from Rvtoday, the televsion show about RVing that airs on the Outdoor Life Network. The top finalists will perform on the main stage in front of 10,000 Rally attendees Wednesday night. The Rally audience will vote to choose the winner who will then perform solo before the entire rally audience on closing night before the Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers concert. The winner will star in a segment of RVtoday. The well-known RVtoday hosts are serving as judges for the event.
“Due to the success, large turn out, and fan appreciation last year, we’re hosting a second Rally Idol,” said Rally Event Director Bev Dalton. “We have more than 35 contestants who have been rehearsing for months. The chance to perform live and to be featured on a TV show has been quite a draw.”
Auditions are scheduled during the following times: Monday, June 21st: 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 22nd: 3:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m. and Wednesday, June 23rd: 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
RVer Noel Byars of Beaumont, Texas, who won the first-ever Rally Idol contest last year, will be back, but this time, as a highlighted performer. Byars is scheduled to perform on Tuesday, June 22nd, from 12:30 p.m.–1:30 p.m. Byars will also serve as a guest judge.
“RVers love to have fun,” stated Dalton. “Last year was a whole lot of fun, and extremely entertaining for everyone involved.”
This week thousands of recreational vehicle owners, better known as RVers, will be traveling to Hutchinson, Kansas, for the Great North American RV Rally. Affinity Group, Inc. (AGI), rv.net, and its brand divisions annually sponsor the Great North American RV Rally (GNARR). The four-day event includes hundreds of exhibits, new RVs, RV products, tours to area attractions, entertainment and daily seminars.
