(Englewood, CO-) Coast to Coast Resorts, the facilitator of the largest network of private membership campresorts in North America and Mexico, announced today that Camping de Compton, an affiliated Coast to Coast Deluxe Resort, has achieved award status in 2004 from two prominent Canadian camping and caravanning organizations.
The Federation Quebecoise De Camping Et De Caravanning, Inc. (FQCC), the largest association of French-speaking campers in North America, has recently named Camping de Compton as their favorite campground in Quebec. This designation is derived from votes which are cast by member campers each year, with more than 13,600 votes being cast for the 2004 contest. The well-deserved highest honor was awarded after the popular resort had achieved second place in each of the two preceding years.
Earlier in 2004, the Quebec Tourism Ministry awarded the national Gold award, Lauréat OR des Grands Prix du Tourisme Québécois 2004, to Camping de Compton. Awarded by a jury of tourism ministry members, the resort had won previously on a regional basis.
Marie Claude Bibeau, who owns the resort with her husband, Aime Melix, attributes the success of Camping de Compton to their focus on providing exceptional hospitality to their visitors coupled with continuing infrastructure upgrades. “We bought Camping de Compton five years ago, and realized right away we wanted to provide the latest in services and amenities for our visitors. We added 50 amp service, Wi-Fi connectivity and dedicated customer telephone lines; plus we increased the size of the resort significantly. We know it has paid off, not just by the awards we’ve received, but by what our customers tell us. It’s a great feeling to see their enjoyment here,” says Marie.
