Does anyone know of a listing of States that offer discounts on campsites, at State Parks, for disabled persons?

Florida offers a discount and short of checking and reading tons of info at each individual state web site, I just don't know where to find this info.

If you know of a state that does, just post it here.

Thanks

When camping I just tell clients that I am working at "Corporate Headquarters"

You have to be a resident of the state to get any kind of discount for a disability. Louisiana was the one state that did give a 50% discount on camping for a resident of any state but they stopped doing it this year. I think that some state parks in Oregon may honor the National Park Access pass but I don't have any experience trying to use mine.

That's a hard one. Normally states offer the disability discount only for residents of the state. A few (very few) states offer disabled veterans discounted or free camping. (Alaska, Oregon come to mind)

If you are 100% disabled, you can get the National Parks Pass for free. It entitles you to 50% off at national parks, COE, USFS, BLM.

Missouri will give you a discount of $2.00 as far as I know regardless of state or residence.

I am not aware of a combined data site for this. I get a discount USFS pass that gets me 50% off camping and free entrance to most day use places because I am legally blind. We also get FREE Oregon state camping as we are Oregon foster parents. We have introduced many kids to camping thanks in part to this state program.

I think it's great that States recognize Veterans and give camping discounts and such.

What I don't understand is the 'state residency' part.......Veterans served for the UNITED STATES not such and such state.

Sorry....pet peeve, I'll calm back down soon!

He's the info I have. Tn, Ms, Al(?) gives discount with Golden Access Pass. Tx. provides somewhat of a discount. Ca. and Md. have own 50% passes, must complete forms, send copy of Access Pass with forms, will receive passes. Fl and La are not working together at this point. Causing each other to NOT provide discounts. Was caused by Fl.
