But it's also a hitch extension, you can it if you look close. I have since added my camper step to it and painted it and stained the boards and added reflecters.
Have you ever loaded the Mini that is sitting in front of your truck on that deck?
Not my mini. I do paintwork mostly out of the shop in the background and that's a mini I painted. I am planning on putting my polaris rzr on the porch

How about a different approach?
one deck, for the rear:

or side:

If the goal is to not have to take a trailer for the extra stuff, it won't help. But it's a nice way to go if you need to bring a trailer anyway....and it's a bigger deck than you can attach to the camper......

Heres mine, I made it out of 1"x1"x1/4" aluminum, with 2, 2"x2"x1/4" runners for stability.
The deck is 3/4"x6" PVC planking
Heres the bottom folded up for travel....the step is removable.
There were existing brackets on the bottom of the bumper that I used as hinges with 5/16" stainless eye-bolts.
Then I drilled the holes in the supports for the deck support cables which are 1/4" coated cable.

Hi all, I've been following this thread as I will be building a rear deck. My question is who sells the bracket for the swing down rear step? I've checked a few rv supply stores without any luck.............Thanks

I made a deck identical to mine for my sisters TC and had to use
2" x 3/16" or 1/4" wall (I don't remember the thickness) aluminum u-
channel, as her TC didn't have brackets either. I cut it up into
five 3" lengths and riveted it on with some 3/16" blind rivets.
Works great. Good Luck Rick

Ok, this is the first time I've tried to add a picture and I'm not sure if it will work. If it does, you will see a pic of my porch. The box keeps my genny safe and out of the elements. If you look closely you can see the homemade "Gen-turi" style exhaust system I made. This set-up has about 5000 mi on it and it works well for me. Hope you like it. Happy camping!
