RE: F150 Tire time

How much do you tow or is it mainly a commuter?

RE: Is this forum going to get fixed???

Gotta say tonight's the first time in probably 2 months that everything I've tried to open opened and have not had one error. Maybe the Mods checked their emails, assuming one was actually sent after every error message from every user and decided to do something about it. Must of been in the thousands of email I'd bet.

RE: 1987 37' Winnebago Elandan for Sale >$45,000< ??

I'm thinking more like $3,000. Straight away it needs $2,000 in tires, complete overhaul of every rubber component on the engine and someone's got to fish out all the left over drugs before you get pulled over!

RE: 2020 Ecodiesel Fuel Economy Tests

"Towing just got cheaper." :B As long as you buy a $38k truck.

RE: Hitch/Receiver Pin

Yes, one pin for all towing with our truck receivers. Some say the pins that end on a 45° angle on the non clip end will hog out the hitch pin hole over time.

RE: Picked up a new 2019 LTZ 2500 Duramax this weekend

Lol @ 2019 being outdated.

RE: Fresh water tank collapse-week supports.

Sometimes it hard to believe we pay for these trailers.

RE: how to level a trailer

I guaranty that if you stick a level in more than one place on your RV that you'll have more than one different readings. When I set mine up for the Levelmate Pro that I installed I just used the floor in front of the sink. No matter where I stick the level I get a different reading. This and also why I level to the counter that is above the fridge. If it's level so is the fridge and everything else doesn't matter. Yes I checked to make sure the counter is square to the refrigerator.

RE: Tow with Chevy Bolt?

TFL did a towing mpg test with the Tesla if ones interested in how detrimental it is to range.

RE: Tow with Chevy Bolt?

Make sure to include a generator and adapter to plug into the car.

RE: EcoDiesel vs Hemi up IKE

So 4.7mpg vs 5.4mpg. I really wish along with the climb they would tell us the towing mpg on a flat highway at less than 4,000 foot elevation.

RE: how to level a trailer

I just use a bubble level app on my cell phone and set it on the counter right above the mini fridge.

RE: Using a tow vehicle as a windbreak while boondocking

3 years ago in Las Vegas we were at a dog show and thankfully we arrived a day earlier as their worst wind storm in a decade came through. RVs and buses were pulling in with broken windshields, torn off awnings, hanging awnings, access hatch doors missing and I heard people saying that there were big rigs blown over out on the highway also. We had assigned parking so we couldn't turn our trailer but thankfully a big Prevost parked besides us before it got too bad so we used him as a windbreak.

RE: Carlsbad Caverns NM

Stayed at the KOA earlier this year and would recommend it. Is super nice, the showers are huge clean and hot, they have a BBQ smoker going all day and will deliver food to you via a golf cart and put it on your RV bill, two descent sized gated dog areas with toys, basically away from everything too so super quiet. It is a ways from the Caverns but from what we saw of the other RV Parks after passing by them we made the right decision! As mentioned above the Oil Industry is all over this area and when we left via the 285 it was a complete disaster. I can not believe that road did not damage my trailer. I've never driven on a road worse than that anywhere in the US. Also is single lane with 50,000 oil workers trying to get where they are going.

RE: Fresh Water Tank Drain

Not a Keystone but our two fresh tanks both have blade valves on them. Would think they could be screwed on or glued on to whatever you've got.

RE: Rear Deck Patio - Aftermarket rails

I just use dog Xpens to line our door when it's used as a patio. We carry quite a few Xpens as our trialer is mainly a rolling kennel anyways. Lol edit: Dogs travel in truck from A to Z.

RE: MH accident in gas station!

Did someone forget they weren't driving their Prius? Also there is legally no expectation of privacy in a public space.

RE: Hot Running Trans Temp - Ideas?

I would reluctantly go back to the oem radiator. I don't like patch on patch to make things mostly work. I'm thinking the same, OEM. I know things have changed over the years but us 1st Gen fans never get aftermarket radiators. The parts house replacements weigh about 7 pounds less than factory for our trucks and that is heat absorbing and heat displacing metal. We have our rodded out by local radiator shops and put back in whenever possible. I know modern radiators have plastic tanks and I want nothing to do with those.

RE: Hot Running Trans Temp - Ideas?

Does the aftermarket cooler have a thermostat in it?
