RE: Best cell phone provider?

I also have a Motorola smartphone with AT&T as a backup, but have not had to use it so far with Visible.

RE: Trailerlife portal down?

Ironically, the forum portal link to MotorHome magazine also still works for now. The other former portal sites (i.e. Woodalls.com. etc.) don't appear to have valid security certificates, so access is being blocked by modern browsers.

RE: Reset PW

RV.com is not a forum portal, so your sign-in is not going to work. If you need to reset your password on RV.com, then click the 'Forgot your password? link. If you meant changing your password on the RV.NET forum, you should be able to do that yourself at My Forums > My Profile. Make sure to scroll down and click Submit Changes when finished.

RE: Best cell phone provider?

But is Visible's service, like all 3rd party resellers, deprioritized? Have personally not experienced any access or slower data service with Visible yet. It's been very consistent. Service includes both 5G/4G unlimited mobile data. Here's a mobile data speed test from my iPhone Plus 4G phone just now: https://i.imgur.com/ertQ1G4.png width=360 Note that the hotspot is limited to one device connected at a time, with speed generally set at 5Mbps down/up. Though I've had hotspot download speeds as high as 30Mbps on the National Mall in DC.

RE: Cell Phone - Sending Test Message

I'm personally using Visible, which is on Verizon mobile network, and not seeing any issues with SMS/MMS messaging. Have received, and just recently sent a photo message about the new ELVIS movie with no problems. Though admit I don't send many mobile messages as I'm not very efficient doing so. Keypad too small for my big fingers.

What mobile service are you using?

RE: Trailerlife portal down?

That's because RV.NET certificate is correctly configured for Cloudflare. Does not appear TrailerLife.com is using a similar setup. Which is causing updated browsers to flag the site as suspicious, and blocking access.

RE: Trailerlife portal down?

It may be caused by TrailerLife.com portal not correctly configured to use CloudFlare certificate as the other GS portals are currently doing so. I'm not sure if IT even monitors these threads. Forum Mods don't have any means of direct contact with them.

RE: Motor Home GPS Phone AP

Looks like the CoPilot RV mobile app is free to use for 14-days, then currently $29.99 for 12-month subscription.

RE: My Microsoft Mail has suddenly been reformated

If this is just happening from one sender, there may be something in the HTML markup you're seeing that is being flagged by Microsoft Outlook as possibly malicious. So it's displaying only a safe text version of the email. Possibly, due to the way something is linked in the email. As far as I know, there is no settings for 'text only' email display format in the Windows Mail app, as in MS Outlook client which doesn't look like you're using? Check the same email on the online version of Outlook.com to see if it formats correctly.

RE: My Microsoft Mail has suddenly been reformated

You cannot place an image directly in a forum thread. You need to upload to an image host of your choice and link to it in your post. Or use this IMGUR.COM based app. Copy the provided link directly into your post.

In WIN10: "Windows Key + PrtSc" will save a full screen image as a .PNG file to your Pictures folder. "Shift + Windows Key + S" will bring up a top capture popup that gives you an option to select an area, open window, or full screen that saves to your Windows clipboard. https://i.imgur.com/go7Kcq4.png width=400 You can click on the Snip & Sketch window that should popup on the lower right of the screen to further edit or save your screenshot as an image file. https://i.imgur.com/vzP7Bu6.png width=400

RE: CC safety

“Apple Pay is accepted at over 85 percent of retailers in the U.S., so you can likely use it wherever and however you want. Except Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, etc.

RE: Life Member Logo

The Life Member logo file is missing from the server, so will not display. It's been an issue for a long time. It's good that you reported it. Hopefully, GS IT will address the issue.

RE: CC safety

Or as others have pointed out, put your card in your phone wallet and leave the card home. At least with an iPhone you tap your phone and approve the transaction using your fingerprint on your phone. Can’t get much safer - especially with something for which you have no liability, all you are trying to do is avoid the hassle of a stolen card. Dave More merchants need to get onboard, as many notably large businesses still are not setup to accept Apple Pay.

RE: CC safety

As mentioned, contact-less credit card transactions are about as safe as using the card's chip insertion method. They both use the same encrypted transaction technology generating a one-time token. Most of the RFID fraud concerns from contact-less credit cards have been debunked as myths. Personally, I will always use touch credit transaction first, and only use the chip insertion method if not available. Nope. Not any safer than using the mag stripe.. Skimmers have gotten significantly better over the last few yrs.. https://i.imgur.com/9KTGy1ul.jpg I have no idea what you are referring? I'm talking about touch credit card readers. RFID enable CC uses the same technology as chip. So not following your skimmer example? If that were the case, than using chip based insertion would be just as vulnerable. BTW, the model in your photo example does not have built in RFID contact-less reader in the first place, so not understanding the point. In any case, show a example of RFID touch credit card used in a successful fraudulent transaction? One that doesn't involve a merchant. BTW, I never swipe my card, even if the chip does not work the mentioned three times. This is a an issue I've experienced with TDBank credit cards as they use a thinner plastic. No issue using contact-less RFID method, but TDBank cards sometime fail to read using chip insertion method at stores like Home Depot or Harris Teeter. I just end up using a different card.

RE: Email Issues - Just looking for ideas..

Rather than just deleting spam emails, report them as junk. It takes a while, but if you do that consistently, those emails will automatically go to your junk folder.I agree. Deleting is not enough. Report as spam. Reporting doesn't prevent the same spammers from targeting your email as it just blocks sender's specific address. Since they are aware of this, they create new email addresses knowing that a certain percent will always get through.

RE: Email Issues - Just looking for ideas..

Create a filter rule that sends 'ends with' @gmail.com to Junk, Trash, or another folder you create. You can then review those emails at your leisure. Deleting them in one fell swoop if appropriate. At least they won't clog up your Inbox. What if legitimate emails come from a gmail account? That's why the filter is sending them to a designated folder. You than can review the email before deleting them. I created a folder called REVIEW that sends non essential email that I don't want taking up space in my Inbox. Then check the contents when I have time, though not as often as my Inbox.
