RE: A poll: What does 2 blinks of the left signal mean to you?

Maybe checking to see how much 'turn signal fluid' is left in the car... The best answer so far!!! I never have to worry about this while in our RV and if I did, it would take me two miles to pass!

RE: Trip from West Coast around the US

Leaving Labor Day....best to hit as many National Parks up North first before weather keeps you out...Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons would be my first thought. Wow, so many things to see and do...Mount Rushmore, The Badlands, The Sturgis motorcycle rally will be over but its still worth a look. It seems campground wise, that if you find an area you want to spend some time in, then reservations may be in order...on the other hand, your traveling after school is back in session and the weather is cooling, so availability for sites without reservations would be favorable. I think I'd wing it! You can do your research on down days of your trip for upcoming towns, cities, states depending on your route...I guess that means internet access via cell phone or Wi-fi. Easy enough to check each states highlights by doing a google search. I'd also suggest traveling some of the back roads as long as you have proper maps/GPS telling of restrictions on certain roads. Stay off the Brooklyn Bridge in New York and the Parkways....don't ask why I know! Sounds like a Great trip...have room for me? LOL

RE: Black tank splash shield problem

Just for kicks, do you use LOTS of water when flushing the throne! Not speaking of while cleaning but rather in just the everyday flushing the toilet. I know I will always fill the bowl fairly well before stepping on the pedal to flush. I realize if you are someplace without sewer then doing this might fill the tanks quickly.

RE: Table Rock Lake, Mo

I have to say after seeing your pictures I went to check out the campgrounds surrounding Table Rock Lake on the WEB....all I can say is WOW, very nice areas and sites. Next time in the area, I'll have to check them out more.

RE: surgegard issue

I agree with the above info...I sometimes have to step on mine also and it is about 13 years old so I'm thankful that its still a tight fit. I normally leave my connected to the cord.

RE: Surge Protector

Why would you just not keep the 50 amp model...you know it will work on a 30 amp pedestal? Right? It will!!! I've had mine for about 12 years!!!

Many of the common places (PPL Parts, Tweety's RV etc etc) have good prices generally and E-Bay also but you must find a good price with free shipping or greatly reduced shipping. I've bought from E-Bay and from one other RV part store which I can't think of at the moment...both times, Air conditioners.

RE: ram 2500 and 3500

All I know for sure is the "payload's" of each makes a Big difference even without the dual rear wheels. A friend who wanted a 5th wheel didn't realize the Payload difference after he went with a 2500...he now owns a heavy Trailer rather than a 5th wheel.

RE: Home monitoring system?

Why Monitor? Why Not would be my question? You have Internet and the Wyze Camera(I use them outside) can be had for 19 bucks, 29.00 if you want the Pan/scan one! I've never had an issue with checking on things with these inexpensive little camera's.

RE: Home monitoring system?

Anyone using the Marcell monitoring system? I use it in the motorhome for temp/power monitoring. I like it as well as my previous system if not better. The previous system was one that involved several different parts, Marcell on the other hand, is simple! One note, when I purchased the Marcell, price at the manufacturer was about 30 bucks less than Amazon.

RE: Amazon Prime and Alexa

Wow, so many haters. There are just too many folks afraid of a technology they don't understand. I believe you can disconnect the accounts as mentioned above. You can also deregister the device from your account (or your husband"s or son's). You can also separate your accounts as being shared Prime accounts but each of you would have to pay the annual Prime fee instead of you both being on the same account. Not at all afraid of technology but concerned about people listening that shouldn't be. I don't even have Amazon Prime. Cannot see paying a fee for expedited shipping. If I want / need something now, I go to a brick and mortar store and buy it. People need to start being more patient and waiting for a product to arrive. Not one of those need it now people, I plan ahead. Amazon Prime is not just about faster shipping. Prime more than pays for itself with free shipping alone. It doesn't take long to get your money back from shipping costs alone. Add in all the other prime features such as steaming TV, books, music etc., Prime is a bargain. Of course if you like to pay more to get less, Prime is not for you. Absolutely agree, if it was just about shipping, someone might have a argument but "Prime" is so much more although I do Love the shipping too. I hate to admit it, but its great sitting here in my chair and ordering some obscure item I don't really need and getting it the next day. With that being said, most times Amazon is very competitive price wise, I still do my due diligence with price checking and just for one example, the "Marcell" temp device for monitoring temp's inside an RV(a dog persons device) manufacturer was a good 30 bucks less than Amazon.

RE: A crappy experience

Take a look at any RV Parts supplier(Amazon) and check the accessories available for your Rhino set up. By looking at the different parts you should be able to tell if your missing something and/or purchase another gadget to make things easier or less messy next time.(ie 90/45 degree angle, clear housing, solid extension etc etc)

RE: Toby is now waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge

Bless you for your care of Toby. We all share your grief as we all know to well the lost of a furry friend. May you be comforted by the Happy Memories and the thought of being together once again on the other side of the "Bridge"!

RE: Rear view cameras - wired or wireless?

I agree with the above, Furrion has good reviews that I've read. I can't comment on my wireless ones as of yet but I have high hopes? I can say the company was very responsive to questions and sending out external remote antenna's. I'll be finishing the install on the wireless in a week or so.

RE: Rear view cameras - wired or wireless?

I wanted both side and new rear view. I ended up with a wired system for my side view(wires were a tad easier to run into driver area) and a wireless two camera set up for the rear. I finally installed the wired pair yesterday and I'm very happy with the picture so far(waiting till I get on the road to make final determination). I also went with two separate systems because I wanted a bigger view so by having two monitors, I have a split view on each. I think that more than likely, I'll keep the rear view as a split screen and have the passenger side view as a full screen on my side view. PS For comparison purposes...I purchased "all" from Amazon. The wireless system with two camera and monitor was a Zerox Club Brand for 229.00 and I pieced together the side view system with two side view camera's at 29.00 a piece and a quad 4 pin monitor for 70.00. I can add two additional 4 pin camera's if I wanted.

RE: battery disconnect switch

I got tired of parasitic loads so I ran new 4/0 cables placing Chassis and House Battery disconnect switches inside our MH. This also allows me to shut down both battery banks while in my driveway and I just connect a dual Battery tender to keep it all top off. OH....sorry, I do have mine the positive leads.

RE: Nice parks around Vegas

I think I might chose Laughlin over Vegas...were not "Snowbird's" but I have witnessed how busy the Riverside Resort is in the Winter. Something about being close to the river just makes it sound better than the concrete jungle Vegas is.

RE: What happens when you reset a computer?

Interesting...I just experienced a similar issue. I could click on a bookmark but no matter which one I clicked I'd get error message (I know I wrote that error message down but can't find it now). I tried several times to restart and other options to no avail. I'm no Guru on a computer but I did "reset" this computer...it did eliminate programs that were added but retained all my bookmarks. Whatever a "reset" is,it tookabout 90 minutes to complete but all is working again. Seems to me it may have had something to do with Micro-soft Edge...that is how I opened access to the internet and that is where I experienced the error code now that I think about it.

RE: Refrigerator Fan

30 bucks....are they out of their mind! I had one many years ago...didn't seem to do much. Placing a whisper (computer Fan) wired to a switch would probably work better.

RE: Vegas food

The days of cheap buffets are long gone but may I suggest you check out some of the "Diner, Drive-in and Dives" places in Vegas. I know the show has had many offerings over the years...enjoy!
