RE: Full Time RV living as a S Corp/1099 employee

Look up "Enrolled Agent". Then, avoid internet advice.

RE: hydro or electric leveling

The more "gee-whiz" goodies you have, the more things to go wrong. (and sooner or later they will). I will stick with electric jacks. I admit that having used electric/hydraulic disk brakes for 10 years now, I would never go back. A

RE: What's in your tool kit? What about other must-haves?

A high-limit credit card. I'm not kidding. There will be some problems that you end up just having to buy your way out of. A

RE: Installing generator and propane tank on rear rack of fiver?

RE: What's in your tool kit? What about other must-haves?

My Titanium (a Canadian Manufacturer) does NOT use Torx. The fastener of choice id "Roberts" #1 and #2. A square recess in the head. Roberts drivers and power bits in both sizes are available at Northern Tool. A

RE: Roadside assistance

In 2016, Good Sam R A sent a tire man from Tucson out two and a half hours into the desert to change a tire for us near Tombstone. No charge! Have a nice day, sir. A

RE: strange landing gear retract problem

The thrust bearing at the top of the jackscrew! EDIT: After looking at that in print; I will point out that those are actually the names of the parts within the landing gear leg. A

RE: How to get slide out manually.

On my Atwood drives the motor is on the end of the jackshaft (threaded rod) and you can get a 5/8 socket in the back end of the motor housing and turn the whole assembly. Unfortunately the slide only moves about a quarter inch for each full turn of the shaft. A power drill or an air motor to turn the socket might be a good idea. I would NOT use an impact wrench. A

RE: Denver area in Winter??

A friend of ours, while having a house built, stayed in our fiver during the winter in North Georgia (I repeat NORTH GEORGIA) and used a 30# cylinder of gas every eight days. Denver??? A

RE: Glenwood Canyon I-70 mudslides....!

Shadow, You might not be too happy on 50. Monarch is a long, slow, mountain climb going West to summit and a shorter, steeper, mountain decent once you top-over. Also there may still be some construction delays on 50. I don't know what their schedule is. There is nothing inherently dangerous about it and there are pullovers to catch your breath. Thousands of RVers do it each year. We prefer it because we avoid Interstates, and it is the easiest way to get to Montrose. We have done it 4 or 5 times in each direction with a 35 foot fiver behind a 3500 Diesel. If 70 is open, it will be backed up, but an easier drive. Your other option is to go into Utah through Wyoming. Maybe at Vernal. (see Dinosaur NM). A

RE: Dinosaur National Park

The McK Ranch is right on a paved county road.

RE: hot water tank

Leave the faucet open while you open the relief valve. This will let air draw back through the system until everything comes to atmospheric.

RE: LED Ceiling Lights

You might check with a shop that does car-audio installations. They frequently install various LED setups to go with the MUCH too loud sound. LEDS not only come in various light output levels, but also in warm-white or cool-white versions Warm-white is more toward yellow and cool-white is toward blue. Be aware that LEDs are always DC and are very polarity sensitive.

RE: F250 or F350 to Haul a 5th Wheel???

3500 or F350 Diesel. Every time! If not today, then your next trailer never gets smaller.

RE: Slide out power stuck "on"

There has to be more than one RV tech in Yuma, Get it checked now! Before something melts or, worse, catches on fire.

RE: Moving to a 5th Wheel

I have to agree with Lantley! I happen to own a Ram 2500 Diesel CC 4x4 short bed; AND a Chevy 3500 CC 4x4 long bed. (My son drives the little one in his business) The difference in price once you start looking at crew cab diesels is very small compared to the difference in capability for the 3500. Talking to others, this seems constant no matter which brand you look at. Also ride comfort is significantly better in the long bed, because of the extended wheelbase. Parking a LB is another topic. RE: 2021 Forest River Heritage Glen 338BAR

"Demand" is a very harsh word! Besides, one of the grey tanks (usually the kitchen) has an undercounter air relief valve and doesn't need a rooftop vent. Basic plumbing theory.
