RE: Surge Protector, Do I need one???

I bought the Progressive industries EMS-PT30x 2 months ago and used it for one camping trip to the beach. The "cooks" kept tripping the breaker with the air on so I converted my TT to 50A service. Now I have a "new" 30A surge protector that will not be used anymore. I have ordered their 50A surge protector for the new service. I am a firm believer in these to protect my electrics in the camper.

RE: Towing with a Ford Explorer

Lots of information in there, appreciate it everyone. I still contacted Ford, 2 Ford Dealerships (total, contacted another one today) - Ford says 5000# but requires a transmission cooler, Dealer said 5000# (I don't trust his answer at all, BTW). May have to go with a popup until the Explorer is replaced, which i don't want to do ever because it is nearly paid off - so might be SOL. My wife and I owned a pop-up several years ago and I loved it. We have a fully decked out TT now and to be honest sometimes I wished I still had that pop-up...

RE: Circut breaker question

Would not be good for it. The TT is rated for 30 amp service. If you want 50 amp usage you would need to change out the 30amp box for a 50 amp box and do some rewiring. Her solution to avoid that is to plug in the new AC directly to the power stand outside on a seperate circuit. Most power poles have a 30 amp, 50 amp and also a 15 amp service there on the pole.

RE: Too far off level?
