RE: Brake Fluid Still Milky

Do you have a Hydromax power brake system with the backup electric motor? If so, keep the brake fluid cap on the reservoir while bleeding. I had the same thing while bleeding front brakes and left the top off. With the reservoir cover on I waited overnight and tried again with success.

RE: Help why is my battery terminal corroded and sparking?

Getting a spark when hooking up to a battery terminal means there is a draw on the system that is waiting for power. You need to know what is operating directly from the battery.

RE: Torque on Lug Nuts

If you want a simple torque multiplier kit that easily removes my 450# lug nuts, look at Amazon. The kit I have was under $100, has one inch drive with several sockets and packs up in a small case. It has a hand crank that turns 58 to1 ratio. The unit is rated up to about 3500 ft lbs of torque. You do need to use a normal rated torque wrench to tighten the nuts.

RE: Torque on Lug Nuts

I have found when I have bought new tires for any vehicle they always say to drive for several miles then come back for a torque check. As said above, carry a suitable torque wrench with you so you can check them yourself.

RE: WHAT dinghy or toad is good to tow ???

Honda CRV. Up to 2014. Tow great, lots of ground clearance. Mine has two full pages in the manual on how to flat tow safely.

RE: Turning A Toad

There is advise from manufacturers to try to limit turning the rig at a maximum angle when towing as this puts strain on the tow equipment. Sometimes unavoidable but try to make turns less sharp. As said above, you cannot back up without binding something so always plan ahead to avoid tight roads and use fuel stops that are easy to drive in and out.

RE: Need a device

My Roadmaster Invisibrake has a wire that connects to the cold side of the brake pedal. When the brake pedal activates, it turns on an LED on my motorhome dash but only if the pedal physically moves. I think you could wire a simple version of that as well.

RE: EMS/Surge Protection or.... TPMS???

I have both systems and , touch wood, I haven’t had any tire problems, but I found my PG surge unit has done its job a few times with electrical issues. When you can afford it get both.

RE: What sealer to use?

If you can remove a ceiling vent from the inside and see some of the roofing material folded in, an EPDM roof will be white and the backside will be black.

RE: Synthetic Trans Fluid

As said above, the transynd can be easily tested to check for the quality and suggested life span of your current fluid.

RE: refer stopped working on gas

Look at the burner and see if there is a little pile of tiny metal bits pulled under the burner. They are rusty filings coming from the boiler tube above. If so, some of them can plug the burner up. Vacuum or blow out the burner tube and try to light again. This something I do a couple times a year when mine quits.

RE: Parasite control issues help

Here on Vancouver Island we don’t need heart worm medication unless we are travelling but Bravecto is what is recommended here for fleas and ticks and doesn’t upset the dogs

RE: Atwood water heater burnt 110v wire

I recently helped a friend with their burnt wires feeding the water heater in a 2 year old trailer. As said above the connections were the problem. The wire connectors were very sloppy and shorted out and the ground wire screw was loose as well. Very poor workmanship.

RE: Brake working?

You can see if the brakes are operating by feeling them after towing and making few harder stops to feel how warm or hot or cool they are. They should be al least warm to touch.

RE: Battery disconnects above door

One turns on and off the chassis battery. The other turns on and off the house batteries. As soon as I park my rig, and extend my steps, I turn the chassis battery off so it has no draw on it and my engine will start.

RE: Drier sheets, magic Eraser and glass

Use 0000 fine steel wool. I use it all the time without harming the glass. Will clean anything off the glass.

RE: 2019 Equinox Dead Batteries

The owners manual probably suggests to remove specific fuses when towing. There are disconnect switches available to make that easier

RE: Best 6-Pin Location in Fascia ??

I don’t have a Jeep but put it in a place where it is accessible when towing bars are in place or not.
