RE: Covering Furniture

We bought a cover from Amazon for our sofa sleeper and it works just fine. I don’t remember the exact cost but it wasn’t much. Recovering it was gonna cost more than buying a new one.

Quiet side of the Smokies

Has anyone ever heard the phrase quiet side of the Smokies? I’ve heard it before but not sure if it was on RV NET or somewhere else. I’m curious as to what towns are on the quiet side. If anyone can help, I’d sure appreciate it.

Tongue jack maintenance

My TT is 5 yrs old and I’ve never done anything to the electric jack. Is there any maintenance that should be done to it? It’s been working fine.

RE: Short queen mattress at CW

Just got back from a 4 night trip with our new Zinus 10” mattress. Slept like a baby and woke up with no aches or pains.

RE: Short queen mattress at CW

Ok, took your guys advise and ordered a Zinus 10” memory foam mattress from Amazon and sheets to go with. Be here Wednesday in time for my trip this weekend. Went to CW and spent $65 of my $100 dollar gift card on stuff. Just plain stuff. Didn’t really need anything major. Hope the mattress is as good as the reviews say. Thanks for the help.

RE: That time of year

I’m camping end of next week but I’m not gonna post any pics. I don’t want to rub it in. Couldn’t get another reservation til March because it’s Snowbird season.

Short queen mattress at CW

Just got a $100 give card for my b-day for CampingWorld. DW and I have been wanting to replace our short queen mattress. Was thinking of applying the gift card toward a new mattress from CW. Anyone have one from there and if so which one?

RE: I-4 though Orlando

I avoid I-4 as much as possible. I live on the west coast of Fl. I’ll drive north on I-75 to I-10 then head east and double back down I-95 just to avoid Orlando. I pulled my TT through their once and never again. 8-10 drivers are tourists who don’t know where they are going and the other 2 are locals who have absolutely no patients for the other 8. Then you have the never ending construction.

RE: F150 Tire time

My F150 came with Michelins and I’ve had them on other types of vehicles too. Very happy with them and will continue with them, but I live in Florida and don’t have to worry about snow and ice.

Blackstone Griddle

Don’t know if this has been brought up before but has anyone used a Blackstone griddle while camping. My son has one at home and he raves about it, making breakfast, lunch and dinner on it. Uses propane to run it and they even have a table top model that they advertise for camping. Read a lot of good reviews but none from campers. Just curious if anyone has experience with one, good or bad. Thanks for any replies.

RE: Any To Do suggestions for the Pigeon Forge area?

Cade’s Cove is an absolute, there are a few pull offs along the loop and waterfalls to hike to. Cling man’s Dome in the Smokey Mtn National Park and numerous other spots to hike to for waterfalls. You can pick up a visitors guide which will have them all in there along with other things to see and do. As stated, Apple Barn is very good along with Old Mill and Bennett’s BBQ. One of my favorites if you like fried chicken is Huck Finn’s Catfish House. You can’t visit without a trip for breakfast at the Log Cabin Pancake House. Enjoy.

RE: Recommendations for TT in the 27 ft range rear living area

I don’t need anyone to search for me. I’m simply trying to find out what people have and like. I’ll be glad to refill your coffee cup since I don’t mind doing things for people.

Recommendations for TT in the 27 ft range rear living area

I want to start looking at another TT in the 27ft range with rear living area and rear window. Hoping you all can give me some ideas. Thanks in advance.

RE: Winter RV Florida Gulf Coast

Most places book a year out. Trying to find something only months out is gonna be a challenge. The pan handle may be your only choice, like I tell everyone who wants to be south of I-4 for the warmer weather, 40 degree nights and 60 degree days are still better than -5 wherever your coming from.

RE: Plate fees are going up in illinois

Left Illinois back in 1983. The plate for my TT is $36.10 here in Florida. Illinois politicians think the answer to everything is raising taxes. Pretty soon, there won’t be anybody left to pay those taxes.

Charleston SC

Just came back from a wedding at Wild Dunes Resort. Never been to that area before and had little time to check out the area but did spend a couple of hours in Charleston. Would love to go back with the TT and stay a little longer. After checking RVParkReviews, I was wondering if anyone has recommendations on CGs within about a half hour or so drive. Thanks for any info.
