RE: Wow! Dealer Comments!

I bought new out of state and NEVER had an issue getting warranty service anywhere the first three years.

RE: DTV nightmare.. Timmac around?

Switching to DISH eliminated all that heartache. If you have a RV account you can reauthorize and change locals from their app on a smartphone.

RE: Looking for a Class C. No cabover with washer combo.

I’m just starting to look. Preferably used. Looking for a Class C. No cabover with washer combo. I see a Coachman Concord deletes the cabover. Any others? I would also like a tv fireplace across from theater seating. Your specs so far are leaning more towards a +-34' Class A or a Super C. (possibly with slides) Chum lee I’ve got a 38’ DP now. New in 2005. I am tired of five steps getting in and out. I would like something not as tall and no more than 30-32’. I’m not crazy about driving a C but we drive less and stay longer. Rarely 300 a day every other day. There are class Cs that meet most of my wish list but they have a cabover. If I can’t find what I want factory made I might find one with the washer with a couch across from the dinette then modify it by swapping the couch for theater seating. Remove the dinette and replace it with an electric fireplace a rising tv behind it. Convert the overhead bunk to storage with cabinet doors. Change to res fridge. 2016 and so it has the six speed.

RE: Looking for a Class C. No cabover with washer combo.

Born Free went belly up and not many out there. I can live with a cabover but the bed is a waste of space. There are units that put tv and stereo up there but I’ll never get an RV that I have to turn to watch. I’m surprised there aren’t more offerings for half timers that are downsizing from a DP. Theater seating across from a fireplace and a tv, washing machine, table and chairs instead of the stupid dinette we don’t use. And storage built into the overhead.

RE: Travel Trailer dolly?

Does the property have a tractor? I’ve been in CGs when the campground will set a trailer with a tractor with a ball on the front loader.

RE: connecting two 12 volts batteries

They should be in parallel. Something probably got blowed up when you connected 24 volts. I’d check the fuseable links, breakers, fuses. Insurance may cover it.

RE: Puzzling problem with Dish

I use 100’ routinely with my Pathway. And that’s not including another 25’ of RV wiring. But I use 211Z not a Wally.

RE: Replacing accelerator pedal on 2005 E450 Fleetwood

Raise the seat! I’m 6’4” and these seats are too low. They make your knees face out and your foot isn’t square to the accelerator. I always add spacers to raise my seat two inches or more.

RE: Puzzling problem with Dish

Can you read a voltmeter? Auto seek dishes get DC power from the sat box. Not every box puts out the same voltage. That’s why shorter better cables can work better. Less voltage drop and better connectors. Measure the DC voltage at the end of the cable. Org sat boxes. Compare. I have a Winegard Pathway with a 211Z. I bought the heavy duty cable from Home Depot and go 100’ on occasion. I used to have problems until I got the better cable.

RE: BBQ Baby Back Ribs using an Instant Pot questions

I predict a pile of bare bones and a pile of pulled pork looking rib meat. After some experimentation you MIGHT learn to cook adequate ribs in a pc but I doubt it. If you want something foolproof and want to use a pc do a chicken or country ribs or a boneless butt.

RE: Directv On The Road Satellite Options and Equipment

You can change locals everyday with DISH. I was never able to change with DTV. You don’t switch between east or west while watching. You SELECT east or west from a menu you get when you connect the Pathway. You can get everything on either set. It DOES only gets one sat at a time and switches between sats automatically. The second tv can only watch channels on which sat the primary tv is on. We were in FL Sunday, Albany GA yesterday and Helen GA today. I changed locals everyday. You have to call. If you have an RV account (vs Residential acct) you can change locals with their app from a Smart phone. I can reauthorize my sat box from my phone. I must stay in too many shady campgrounds but I haven’t used my rooftop dome in years. I consider them useless. I switched from DTV to DISH and bought a Winegard Pathway X2 auto seek carry out dish that gets HD. Pathway is the only one that lets you choose either east or west sats. This is an advantage when there are trees or hills. The east sats are in a different area of the sky than the west sats so you have options when there trees. Directv is not RV friendly. Sat internet is very pricey and slow. We use Verizon. I just bought a Wilson Weboost RV and it is working great in weak areas.

RE: Frods V10 engine

I’ve seen several 16 models with the six speed. Look at the shifter for a D with a four next to it.

RE: Warning Light on 2002 Monaco Diplomat

Does it have a maintenance port? Buy the Silverleaf software and cable. Connect to your laptop and read codes live while driving down the road. Their techs will help you too.

RE: Frods V10 engine

Not sure of your budget but after 2016 you get a six speed auto that basically drops cruising rpm 1000 rpm. Class Cs don’t get the three valve. I’ve seen delivery vans in the NE go to auction with 300-400k miles. Not as heavily loaded as a RV but still ...

RE: Medical marijuana

I’m guessing some of the comments are coming from folks that haven’t smoked in years OR have never smoked Medical Marijuana. It doesn’t get you that high. But the benefits linger the next day when straight. I didn’t have all these diabetic nerve and arthritis pains when I was young so didn’t know I felt better. It’s enabled me to reduce the NSAIDS in half and my range of motion is much better.

RE: Medical marijuana

Over half the budget for drug interdiction is spent on pot. Tens of thousands are incarcerated for pot arrests. What a waste of money and lives. And why would legalizing it encourage air traffic controllers come to works stoned? They’re not showing up drunk are they? I’m sure a few do but prohibition didn’t stop people from drinking. I hope the laws change nationwide. Soon.

RE: Medical marijuana

Have you tried CBD oil? It works for some folks and some ailments, and it's legal everywhere. Be careful. CBD derived from hemp is legal. CBD from marijuana is not in all 50 states. Just a few weeks ago a tourist was arrested at Disney for what she thought was legal CBD obtained legally in her home state. I think they were embarrassed as they dropped charges the next day.
