RE: Tapping off of the 3/8 Propane Line

Most external ports for propane are after the regulator. Whatever you hook to can not have an additional regulator. Any hardware store will have what you need to extend the line. You may have to order a quick coupler to suit your grill.

RE: House Water Pump needs assistance priming

Since it is a 1999 I suggest rebuilding the pump (20 minute job) and opening a faucet to relieve pressure on the discharge side when trying to prime the pump.

RE: Goodyear G614 ,and Endurance Tires

No one asked for my $0.02 worth but if the RVIA really wants to help the industry they would start verifying that the junk coming onshore from the far easy actually met the ratings and are built to standards. Having delt with some companies in that part of the world for over 20 years, I don't trust a one of them.

RE: Electrical issues

You might check the electrical connection boxes under the slide for water inside. Our 2003 and 2010 Cruisers both allowed water in the boxes because they were not sealed. Dry them out and seal them. Just a little water can cause GFI or breakers to trip.

RE: Prodigy Brake Control ?

Your problem is in the work trailer, NOT THE CONTROLER.

It is a great road on my Goldwing!

RE: Crater Lake

Diamond Lake has an RV park about 7 miles from the entrance. Never stayed there. I wouldn't take your rig into the Forest Service campgrounds at Diamond Lake. We camped at Diamond a few years ago. Nice place.

RE: The Coronavirus

Good Lord, a few hundred people have died in the entire world from this. over 16,000 have dies in the US alone this winter from the flu! Wash your hands and get on with life. Turn off the news!

RE: Cummins 6.7 ISB no power to fan clutch

Using commons sense here, I would assume the engineers made the fan "fail safe" in that if it loses power it runs all the time. The electrical signal from the temperature sensor/ECM will turn it off if the cooling is not needed. You could ask the Dodge guys at the garage to confirm but my guess is that it runs all the time with the wires cut.

RE: Campnab

Google it and get all the information first hand. Great, thanks for the super helpful response. I'm so glad you're here to provide such valuable information to people. He is kinda known for it.

RE: Cleaning your AC Filter

Let's all just take the filter out of our engine intake system. I'll be it flows more air thus more horsepower, at least for a little while. Sarcasm sign on.

RE: Load Range G Tires

I just ran out and quickly (it is 6 degrees F) measured mine. They are slightly less than 31". I replaced my China Bombs with the G614s and really didn't notice any difference in the stance or clearance in the wheel wells. I'm betting anything will fit in yours.

RE: Great new electrical connectors

Just a concern. Since you can "twist and pull" the wire out, how will these work on "mobile" moving equipment? I don't trust wire nuts on campers as I have witnessed several of them fall off.

RE: New Thor subsidiary to use European manufacturing methods

Demming, an American, taught the Japanese "lean manufacturing" at the end of WW II. Deming The Germans learned from Japan and now we (Americans) are learning from them? Too bad we didn't listen in the '50s!

RE: !

We older Baby Boomers are starting to slow down and not spend as much money, moving into retirement type homes instead of campers. Younger folks are not into camping. Given the demographics in the U.S. I suspect it is all downhill from here.

RE: BMW vs KTM vs Triumph vs Honda Adventure motorcycle

I've had BMW, KLR 650 and now on a Yamaha WR250R. For the type of "trail riding" I like the larger bikes are just too heavy. Fell in mud a few years ago on the KLR, leg under the bike, @ 8000 feet ASL it took 15 min. to extricate myself. No thank you. The 250 will still do 70 MPH (for a while) but I don't get on hard surface roads unless it is absolutely necessary.

RE: Need advice

It could easily be legit. Beginners make alot of mistakes. I'm sure many here have done some odd things! I've seen the following at RV resorts multiple times. Open the black tank valve before hooking up the sewer hose. Forget to put stabilizers down on a pop up tent trailer, then crawl into bed. Using a Flush King type device with both it's valve and sewer valve closed. Driving away with antenna still up. Not moving all items out of the way before retracting slide. Leaving tank valve open when driving away. Anything still in tank from not being level now comes out. Driving off with steps or stabilizers down. Getting stuck on curvy roads with signs that say 3 or more axles not allowed. Driving off without unplugging the shore power cord! Pulling out, leaving the camping partner in the bathroom. Fail to remove wheel chalks. Roll up the manual awning then flipping the lock lever (parachute deploys soon after hitting the road). The list goes on.
