RE: Can't user 5er again this winter - replace red goo in pipes?

I'll see your one :R and raise you two :R:R Thanks for the science. You can be as sarcastic (and perhaps insensitive to others) if you like. That's funny! :)

Not sure what kind of water lines you have. Antifreeze was left once for two years in my trailer. Flushed the lines once after and there was no antifreeze taste or smell.

No need to replace. Alcohol does not evaporate within a closed system. Just pour some more in the p-traps and you are good to go until spring.

RE: water heater

Turn off outside switch, turn on inside switch. For propane operation it makes no difference if outside switch is on or off.

The 2872 according to specs is: 1" higher, 3/8" wider, 1/2" deeper

RE: Winterizing

If you have the means to blow the lines out with air, do it and leave it that way. Just pour some more antifreeze in the p-traps and toilet.

RE: My wife is gonna kill me, please help

This thread is pretty funny. People are still telling the OP to check things in the trailer. Even after the OP indicated that the fireplace was plugged into an outlet in the house and still wouldn't work. :B Here's the comment: Jerry, thanks. Yes, I have it plugged into an outlet right now, at our house, as well as having 2 brand new deep cycle batteries installed. The owner told me it was electric only, as opposed to propane. It's not real clear as to it referring to the fireplace being plugged into an outlet or the RV being plugged into the outlet. That they mentioned having 2 new batteries in the same sentence suggests to me that they are saying the RV is plugged into an outlet at their house. The question just previous to that reply was: "Do you have power going to it either 12 V or 120?" To me the OP response to that question was pretty obvious that it was the fireplace that was plugged in. :) The RV is plugged into our home outlet/110. Now we finally know for sure, no more confusion. Good!

RE: I need help removing my broken water heater drain plug

Go to the hardware store and buy a "sprinkler riser removal tool." I have removed several with one of these, works perfect. https://www.homedepot.com/p/1-2-in-and-3-4-in-Plastic-Nipple-Extractor-26076/100203404Well, that didn't work. It sure gripped but I couldn't turn it. I'm going to get my stronger neighbor to give it a go and then try something else. I wonder if it's because it's nylon and the sprinkler heads are maybe pvc? With a tool like that you are expanding the plug making it even tighter. Heat up a screwdriver and melt a couple groves (top and bottom) in the plug right down to the metal water heater threads. Then take the screwdriver (once cooled), place it between the plug and the water heater thread and pry the plug out.

RE: Suburban SW6DE questions

So as to not confuse things here, do you have one switch or two inside the trailer for the water heater?

RE: Need advice on 50 ft cable to portable solar panel

Worse case scenario based on the specs below. 100 watt panel Output 18 volts, 5 amps Distance 100 feet (12AWG) 11% voltage drop 10AWG would be about a 6% drop

RE: Suburban SW6DE questions

If you have just one WH switch inside the trailer that is for propane operation only. The switch for electric operation is a manually operated switch attached to the front of water heater.

RE: I need help removing my broken water heater drain plug

If the remaining threads are of plastic or nylon, you could heat up a screwdriver head & melt a grove/ slot in the material. Then cool down the screwdriver head & unscrew the remainder…A picture of your problem would be helpful…. X2

RE: Westinghouse generator 4500

How many DB noise level? Also they are preying on the Westinghouse name, that company has been sold and resold and I have no idea who owns the name now. Some Chinese company most likely. According to specs: 52 DB
