RE: Holiday Rambler in tank fuel pump quit. Cant find relay?

Thanks Ivylog. Can you better explain short hose to check for air? Is leaking hose coupling on top of tank or at filters? Sounds like simple fix. Love to talk by phone if could get number privately?

Great to hear wont be dropping tank. Haha. Would it run at all if bad lift pump? Hoping clogged vent tube. Wish me luck tomorrow.

Thanks can certainly test it with cap loose and if runs fine, its the vent. Simple, thanks.

RE: Holiday Rambler in tank fuel pump quit. Cant find relay?

Wow, thanks guys. Already did both filters so next is to check tank vent for clogging. Amazing that vacuum pulls fuel all that way! High pressure pump likely ok or it wouldnt idle and run? Only stumbles under load. Thanks

RE: Holiday Rambler in tank fuel pump quit. Cant find relay?

The 300 cummins starts and idles fine. Goes into high idle fine and even revs if not under load. Once in gear with brake set or driving it will stumble, rebound and then stumble again in a cycling way like running out of fuel. My diesel mechanics scan tool shows no fuel pressure from any aux fuel pump, but it does show vac. pressure from hi pressure pump drawing fuel to the engine. Dont know for certain there is an aux pump, but assuming there is because tank is over 20 feet from the engine and seems should be one. Manual makes no mention of one tho? On top of tank there are number of wires going thru a portal into the tank and seems like more than needed for sending unit. Two good diesel mechanics believe Cumminns ISB300 engines have an aux pump, but could they be wrong? Manual does mention that clogged tank vent can give issues and guess id better check it out, but didnt ghink could be culprit. Hoping might be some good techs on the Monaco group provuded me, but busy next couple days. Thanks much for replies and advice.

RE: Holiday Rambler in tank fuel pump quit. Cant find relay?

Thanks for link to manual so have digital and hard copy now. No mention of auxiliary fuel pump in manual though. Should be able to trace leads somewhere if lucky but many wires bundled together down the frame.

RE: Holiday Rambler in tank fuel pump quit. Cant find relay?

Thanks but not a GM. Its a pusher rear engine with a cummins diesel. No hood. Small fuse box in rear lower battery cabinet and large fusebox in outside cabinet below drivers window. Fuses and relays labeled but none labeled as fuel pump so kind of stumped. Just learned Monaco/Holiday Rambler lost all pre 2011 records, diagrams and schematics in a fire darn it, so on my own it appears.

Holiday Rambler in tank fuel pump quit. Cant find relay?

In tank fuel pump has quit in my 2004 Holiday Rambler Neptune diesel pusher and cant find the fuse or relay for it. Monaco has identical model rig under different name, but since out of business there are no techs to contact! Anyone know of a contact who knows these brands well or where might find an electrical schematic to trace down the fuse or relay? Hope to avoid dropping tank if can, because scan tool shows no power to the pump. Thanks for any help.

RE: Need advice on spacer between camper and truck bed?

Found some Dow Corning foam core 4x8 sheets 1.5 inch think that are$50 each. Going to sandwich them between two half inch sheets of plywood for 4 inches of spacing. Should work great. Thanks.

RE: Need advice on spacer between camper and truck bed?

Thanks for the responses. Might check on foam core. Pallets are heavy duty load rated quality pallets and will lay rubber over them if go that way.

RE: Need advice on spacer between camper and truck bed?

Thanks Brad, what do you think of just using couple stout pallets?

Need advice on spacer between camper and truck bed?

Hello, great site for advice, thanks. My 99 Ford superduty has a tall cab and need about 4 inch spacer to keep camper above it when offroad? Used 4 2x6s laid out across the bed to get it home and was touching the roof! Picked up 2 stout pallets that are 5 inches high and 4x4 in size and looking for input on using them with a rubber mat? Will anchor the pallets with blocks off the wheel wells. Will use chain to lengthen tie downs if needed. Have read about hard foamcore, but sounds pricey and hard to find. What are folks using for spacers? Thanks

RE: 2005 Sixpac D850 tech questions?

Oh well, combo tank is large atleast and will allow for showers. Gives new meaning to ****, shower and shave! Haha Auxillary water tank still a mystery tho? Hopefully FWC has some grey haired techs that know Sixpacs. Haha

RE: 2005 Sixpac D850 tech questions?

Thanks but only one valve and one drain connection. Manual states same , but just seems odd. Tank status panel even shows two sewer tanks, but likely just panel used in all their campers. Water heater sits next to this white plastic tank under sink that likely holds about 5 gals. Water tank fill hose goes right past it to main tank, so cant see how could even fill it? Very strange. Will contact FWD campers, thanks for that heads up.

RE: 2005 Sixpac D850 tech questions?

Is there any Sixpac tech resources out there, since believe out of business? New name for company maybe? Appreciate any help, thanks.

2005 Sixpac D850 tech questions?

Just purchased this camper and prior owner new little about it. Main water tank is below fridge and dinette, but there is another tank below the sink that cant figure out? Not grey tank as sink drain goes past it to rear of camper. Appears to be fresh water tank? Very curious? Another question. Manual says grey and black water drain from single valve. Is there only one tank for both, or two tanks in series going to one drain valve? Seems strange as odor could come up thru sinks? Never seen this before as had many rvs, but its a smaller camper. Thanks and this site is great resource!
