RE: May have towed too much weight

It's not just weight, don't overlook wind resistance. If you have a 10 MPH headwind, the load on the TV is increased substantially. when I was comparing a pilot vs my highlander, the pilot was rated to tow 5,000 lbs. towing a boat, 3500 towing a trailer. bumpy

RE: 1986 Ford "TurtleTop E350 and Intro

I thought that "turtle tops" were assembled in Mt. Airy MD. could try to locate somebody familiar with them. I checked one out in Brunswick, md and it seemed less than top qualitiiy with the overhead sliding shelf/bed covered with wooden colored shelf paper. bumpy

RE: Under Counter Mounted Coffee Maker

RE: Water Heater with Electric Heating Option?

If not.. Hot Rod (Or HottRod) from any Decent RG store. It Screws into the fitting the anode is currently screwed into.. Its not as hith wattage as the standard heater element but it works very well. I used to plug my hot rod in when I got to the campground and it saved on propane. Just don't expect one to work miracles. bumpy

RE: Smoke Detectors

I could be totally wrong on this, but for some reason I remember reading that there are special detectors for RV's. Not saying house ones would not work but for some reason I remember that there was a difference. Might want to check that out. that sort of rings a bell, don't remember why however. bumpy

RE: The Ford Explorer Men only Edition

I dropped my subscription to Consumer Reports when they down rated my ford cause it didn't have that wonderful safety feature, padded visors. IIRC they were a $5 option bumpy

RE: Good Sam credit card opened in my name

you probably are "pre approved" and suckered in to signing for one in the fine print. I currently have been flooded with various "fedx" etc. that they are having trouble delivering a package, and I hae won about 1,000 various tool kits, etc from lowes/Home depot, etc. bumpy

RE: Voting in South Dakota may change

RE: Foggy windows help please

The best thing to do is replace the dual pane windows that will always leak given enough time with single pane. There are single pane windows that are thicker then normal and have a similar R factor of dual pane. Obviously with single pane you never have to worry about them leaking. The price is about the same as having your dual panes resealed. Funny how we think dual panes in an RV are a big deal........yet we have this huge front widow(windshiel) that is about the size of all the other windows combined and that windshield is NOT dual pane. Save the money and hassle and replace with thicker single pane. That sums up my feelings exactly. a single pane window with a thick drape/curtain would be as good. bumpy
