RE: The Ford Explorer Men only Edition

I dropped my subscription to Consumer Reports when they down rated my ford cause it didn't have that wonderful safety feature, padded visors. IIRC they were a $5 option

RE: Good Sam credit card opened in my name

you probably are "pre approved" and suckered in to signing for one in the fine print.
I currently have been flooded with various "fedx" etc. that they are having trouble delivering a package, and I hae won about 1,000 various tool kits, etc from lowes/Home depot, etc.

after my brother in law described driving on those direct routes I decided to just take the interstate around and entered in the North entrance to Yellowstone.

RE: Foggy windows help please

The best thing to do is replace the dual pane windows that will always leak given enough time with single pane. There are single pane windows that are thicker then normal and have a similar R factor of dual pane. Obviously with single pane you never have to worry about them leaking. The price is about the same as having your dual panes resealed. Funny how we think dual panes in an RV are a big deal........yet we have this huge front widow(windshiel) that is about the size of all the other windows combined and that windshield is NOT dual pane. Save the money and hassle and replace with thicker single pane.
That sums up my feelings exactly. a single pane window with a thick drape/curtain would be as good.

RE: Prostate problems

One "Side" effect... post recovery I lost about 10 pounds.. and noticed a reduction in edema in my legs (where the 10 pounds came from) My THEORY (Which I will ask about at next Urologist visit) with the bladder empty. Kidneys working better.
In short that's a side BENEFIT.
Funny this thread re-appeared - since my original cheery statement, Ed developed Ucerative Colitis, and somehow, all that inflammation seems to have set off his prostate? After landing my sweet husband in the ER with kidney failure due to complete blockage, it is now officially "too big" (BPH). He's being a good sport about being catheterized until he can go in for TURP surgery a month from now. He's not looking forward to it, of course; but he's already had TUR surgery to remove a tiny speck of bladder cancer that was found during his CT scan for the UC, and successfully removed.
I hope all goes well.

RE: Then what?

there's an interesting article in the Jan/Feb issue of meckleneburg electric cooperative living magazine concerning electric vehicles.
they state that new class 8 electric trucks sell for around 300,000 twice the price of the fuel powered counterparts.

If I had it all over to do again, I would not have gotten the dual pane windows.

RE: 24 feet versus 26' dilemma, have to decide fast

Thanks for the good chuckle! Yes, with my 45’ it’s harder to find sites, but not impossible. We mainly dry camp in public CGs during the summer without advanced reservations… been doing it this way for 20 years. Buy a 30’ and don’t worry about the extra length, it WILL NOT be a problem.
I used to consider 30 ft to be a b@stard length. too long to be short, too short to be long. maybe that makes it be a perfect length?
